Wenin’s Teams Analysis – Round 6

Despite trading in David Fifita and selecting Pappy as captain, the Wenin’s could muster just 1,144 in Round 5 to see their rankings slip back to 8,671. It’s not been a happy couple of weeks, and boys have been told to bring their mouthguards to training this week. Watch for some fireworks early on in Round 6.

Onto the teams….

There are some MASSIVE changes this week with superstars, Jason Taumalolo, Cody Walker and Tom Trbojevic back, while at the Tigers, Jake Simpkin has been named to start at hooker at the expense of Jacob Liddle. Anthony Milford has been told to go find himself in reserve grade for a few weeks and the Knights welcome back a trio of stars. Yep, there’s plenty going on, so let’s get stuck into it.

BRONCOS V PANTHERS

Thurs 15 Apr, Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane, 7:50pm

BRONCOS

1 Jamayne Isaako, 2 Xavier Coates 3 Richard Kennar, 4 Jesse Arthars, 5 David Mead, 6 Brodie Croft, 7 Tom Dearden, 8 Matt Lodge, 9 Jake Turpin, 10 Payne Haas, 11 Alex Glenn, 12. Tevita Pangai Jnr, 13 Patrick Carrigan

Bench: 14. John Asiata 15. Thomas Flegler 16. Ethan Bullemor 17. Jordan Riki

Reserves: 18. Rhys Kennedy 19. Cory Paix 20. Keenan Palasia 21. Corey Oates

Injuries:

  • Herbie Farnworth (shoulder, round 6)
  • Ben Te’o (biceps, round 18)
  • Kotoni Staggs (knee, mid-season)

Teams Analysis

Kevvie has swung the axe with Anthony Milford and Tesi Niu both dropped. Brodie Croft starts in the halves, while Jesse Arthars will start in the centres. Tevita Pangai has been shifted from lock to the edge, with Patrick Carrigan back from suspension at lock and Jordan Riki relegated to the bench. Ethan Bullemor replaces Ben Te’o on the bench in the only other change.

I was all set on trading out TPJ this round but the shift to the edge has me intrigued. He’s one of the most damaging forwards in the game and could easily go big any week. He spent the majority of his nine games last year in the #12 jersey for an average of 62 so I will be holding him as a bit of a POD going forward with attention purely focused on fixing my CTW position.

Tesi Niu and Jordan Riki can both be traded out this week. They’ve done their jobs and you can move both on for a keeper or in the case of Riki, a cash cow such as Ben Condon or Jackson Topine.

Payne Haas has a BE of 120 and a couple of price drops seems all but assured.

PANTHERS

1 Stephen Crichton, 2 Charlie Staines, 3 Paul Momirovski, 4 Matt Burton, 5 Brian To’o, 6 Jarome Luai, 7 Nathan Cleary, 8 Moses Leota, 9 Mitch Kenny, 10 James Fisher-Harris, 11 Viliame Kikau, 12 Kurt Capewell, 13 Isaah Yeo

Bench: 14. Tyrone May 15. Spencer Leniu, 16. Matt Eisenhuth, 17 Liam Martin

Reserves: 18. Scott Sorensen 19. Robert Jennings 20. J’maine Hopgood 21. Jaeman Salmon

Injuries:

  • Dylan Edwards (hand, round 8)
  • Api Koroisau (wrist, round 8-10)

Teams Analysis

No changes.

Good luck to you if have planned appropriately and loaded up with Panthers players for this Thursday night encounter. Brian To’o will be joining the Wenin’s this week despite the high price tag with the Panthers winger having a ridiculously high floor for a CTW and is therefore too good to pass up.

Nathan Cleary and Jarome Luai both shape as great captain options for the round.

Despite the favourable match up, I am likely to say farewell to Kurt Capewell this week. The only game that he has played the full 80 minutes was against the Storm and outside of this he has averaged just 63 MPG and with a poor PPM, this barely makes him a keeper for the CTW position. If the Panthers get off to a flyer, don’t be surprised to see him earn an early shower and if the attacking stats aren’t there, it’s going to be a disappointing score. What I would note is that I currently have him hovering in my 2RF position and if he was in CTW, then possibly I would be holding.

KNIGHTS V SHARKS

Fri 16 Apr, McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle, 6pm

KNIGHTS

1 Kalyn Ponga, 2 Brayden Musgrave, 3 Enari Tuala, 4 Bradman Best, 5 Hymel Hunt, 6 Kurt Mann 7 Blake Green, 8 David Klemmer, 9 Jayden Brailey, 10 Daniel Saifiti, 11 Tyson Frizell, 12 Mitch Barnett, 13 Connor Watson

Bench: 14. Sauaso Sue 15. Jacob Saifiti 16. Josh King 17. Brodie Jones

Reserves: 18. Simi Sasagi 19. Pasami Saulo 20. Phoenix Crossland, 21. Gehamat Shibasaki

Injuries:

  • Edrick Lee (foot, round 6)
  • Tex Hoy (hamstring, round 7-8)
  • Phoenix Crossland (knee, round 8)
  • Bailey Hodgson (knee, round 9)
  • Mitchell Pearce (pectoral, round 14-16)
  • Dom Young (knee, indefinite)
  • Lachlan Fitzgibbon (shoulder, indefinite)
  • Jirah Momoisea (Achilles, indefinite)

Teams Analysis

Bradman Best, Kurt Mann and Jacob Saifiti all come back into the side with Gehamat Shiasaki, Pasami Saulo, Chris Randall and Stanford To’a making way. Mann’s return sees Connor Watson shift back to lock (but wait for the last minute switch with Sauaso Sue). Brayden Musgrove will make his debut from the wing.

Mitch Barnett’s first game without the goal kicking was not a happy one with the Knights edge forward scoring just 53 points in 80 minutes. However, there were basically no attacking stats here for him and the Titans smashed them. I would not be giving up hope just yet, but the clock is ticking and it won’t be too far away before that BE (currently at 95) skyrockets. Another factor is the Knights upcoming draw, which is quite tricky, with matches against the Sharks, Panthers, Roosters and Raiders before a relatively soft run through the first bye round.

Brayden Musgrove is one to watch as he is basement priced and could be an ideal downgrade target in the coming weeks.

SHARKS

1 Will Kennedy, 2 Mawene Hiroti, 3 Connor Tracey, 4 Jesse Ramien, 5 Ronaldo Mulitalo, 6 Matt Moylan, 7 Chad Townsend, 8 Braden Hamlin-Uele, 9 Blayke Brailey, 10 Aaron Woods, 11 Briton Nikora, 12 Teig Wilton, 13 Toby Rudolf

Bench: 14. Billy Magoulias, 15. Aiden Tolman, 16. Jack Williams, 17. Siosifa Talakai

Reserves: 18. Brayden Trindall, 19. Nene Macdonald, 20. Franklin Pele, 21. Jenson Taumoepeau

Injuries:

  • Wade Graham (concussion, round 7)
  • Josh Dugan (concussion, TBA)
  • Andrew Fifita (suspension, round 9)
  • Royce Hunt (knee, round 7)
  • Shaun Johnson (Achilles, round 7-8)
  • Sione Katoa (knee, round 8-10)
  • Jackson Ferris (foot, round 10)

Teams Analysis

Briton Nikora returns from suspension and replaces Wade Graham on the edge, with Graham missing due to concussion. Josh Dugan will also miss through a failed HIA and has been replaced in the centres by Connor Tracey. Siosifa Talakai joins the bench.

With Wade Graham missing, Teig Wilton holds his spot on the edge, but with Graham only likely to miss a week, Wilton could be a bit of a trap and he’s already seen a $63k price rise.

My Boy, Toby Rudolf has played three 80 minute games in a row for an average of 62 PPG. He’s priced at just $468k and is not the worst option as a potential skipping stone to a legitimate keeper.

STORM V ROOSTERS

Fri 16 Apr, AAMI Park, Melbourne, 7:55pm

STORM

1 Ryan Papenhuyzen, 2 George Jennings, 3 Reimis Smith, 4 Justin Olam, 5 Josh Addo-Carr, 6 Cameron Munster, 7 Jahrome Hughes, 8 Jesse Bromwich, 9 Brandon Smith, 10 Christian Welch, 11 Felise Kaufusi,12 Ken Bromwich, 13 Nelson Asofa-Solomona

Bench: 14. Harry Grant 15. Tui Kamikamica 16. Tom Eisenhuth 17. Nicho Hynes

Reserves: 18 Aaron Pene 19. Dean Ieremia 20. Brenko Lee 21. Chris Lewis

Injuries:

  • Dale Finucane (calf, round 6)
  • Jack Howarth (hamstring, round 6-7)
  • Cooper Johns (hamstring, round 6-7)
  • Max King (Achilles, round 8-10)

Teams Analysis

No changes. Harry Grant remains on the bench and Brenko Lee has once again been named in the reserves.

Christian Welch finally scored a try, resulting in a 100 point score last weekend. He now has a BE of 12 and some further price rises are imminent. The only negative to his game last week was the fact that he played just 48 minutes, but this may have been due to the scoreline. Dale Finucane is also due back anytime now. Regardless, he remains a hold.

Harry Grant played 53 minutes in his first match of 2020 but still managed to score 66 points. As soon as he wins that starting hooker role, he will be hard to leave out of our sides for too long.

George Jennings has scores of 87 and 118 in his past two weeks and now has a BE of -31. However, things get a bit trickier now with matches against the Roosters, Warriors, Sharks and Souths over the coming month.

ROOSTERS

1 James Tedesco, 2 Daniel Tupou, 3 Josh Morris, 4 Joey Manu, 5 Brett Morris, 6 Drew Hutchison, 7 Sam Walker, 8 Isaac Liu, 9 Benjamin Marschke, 10 Siosiua Taukeiaho, 11 Angus Crichton, 12 Sitili Tupouniua, 13 Victor Radley

Bench: 14. Adam Keighran, 15. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, 16. Nat Butcher 17. Lindsay Collins

Reserves: 18. Fletcher Baker 19. Matt Ikuvalu 20. Jesse Marschke 21. Daniel Suluka-Fifita

Injuries:

  • Freddy Lussick (arm, round 11-13)
  • Sam Verrills (knee, round 8-10)
  • Lachlan Lam (knee, round 9)
  • Billy Smith (shoulder, mid-season)
  • Boyd Cordner (concussion, indefinite)
  • Luke Keary (knee, season)

Team Analysis

Freddy Lussick will miss the next 6-8 weeks with a fractured arm. Ben Marschke will replace him at hooker if he is successful at the judiciary tonight. Adam Keighran has been named at #14 and may start at hooker if Marschke was to miss. Lindsay Collins returns to the bench with Fletcher Baker dropping to reserves.

Sam Walker is an absolute must for non-owners this week. No questions asked.

Congratulations to those who bravely traded out James Tedesco a fortnight ago. His price has now fallen by over $100k from Round 3 and he faces a current BE of 153. However, you’re going to have to burn another trade to get him back in.

This Brett Morris thing is just getting ridiculous. That’s four ton’s in five games for the Roosters winger.

SEA EAGLES V TITANS

Sat 17 Apr, Glen Willow Oval, Mudgee, 3pm

SEA EAGLES

1 Tom Trbojevic, 2 Jason Saab, 3 Brad Parker, 4 Morgan Harper, 5 Reuben Garrick, 6 Kieran Foran, 7 Daly Cherry-Evans, 8 Taniela Paseka , 9 Lachlan Croker, 10 Martin Taupau, 11 Haumole Olakau’tau, 12 Josh Schuster, 13 Jake Trbojevic

Bench: 14. Cade Cust, 15.Toafofoa Sipley, 16. Sean Keppie, 17. Josh Aloiai

Injuries:

  • Jack Gosiewski (foot, TBA)
  • Morgan Boyle (shoulder, TBA)
  • Moses Suli (back, TBA)
  • Jorge Taufua (Achilles, round 6)
  • Curtis Sironen (knee, round 9)
  • Dylan Walker (hamstring, round 10-12)
  • Karl Lawton (Achilles, round 11-12)
  • Andrew Davey (knee, season)
  • Manase Fainu (stood down, indefinite)

Teams Analysis

Tom Trbojevic is back at fullback, which is a massive result for Manly and particularly given that Dylan Walker is out with a hamstring injury. Jack Gosiewski may miss the rest of the season through a foot injury and has been replaced on the edge by Haumole Olakau’atu. Cade Cust returns to the bench for Tevita Funa who drops back to the reserves in the only other change.

The return of Turbo is massive and he is a big watch over the coming weeks, particularly if Tedesco continues to produce these scores. With Gosiewski out now long term, Josh Schuster could be a hold in our sides for a long, long time.

Daly Cherry-Evans, Martin Taupau and Jake Trbojevic have all likely hit their price floor if you’re at all interested.

TITANS

1 AJ Brimson, 2 Phillip Sami, 3 Brian Kelly, 4 Patrick Herbert, 5 Corey Thompson, 6 Ash Taylor, 7 Jamal Fogarty, 8 Jarrod Wallace, 9 Mitch Rein, 10 Tino Fa’asuamaleui, 11 Kevin Proctor, 12 David Fifita, 13 Tyrone Peachey

Bench: 14. Moeaki Fotuaika 15. Sam Lisone, 16. Jaimin Jolliffe 17. Erin Clark

Reserves: 18. Beau Fermor, 19. Herman Ese’ese, 20. Sam McIntyre, 21. Jonus Pearson

Injuries:

  • Phillip Sami (head knock, TBA)
  • Anthony Don (hip, round 6-7)

Teams Analysis

No changes for the Titans.

David Fifita, wow! He’s now priced at $754k, but he’s worth it. With a match-up against Manly, it’s almost “break team” time to get him in.

Tyrone Peachey backed up his poor performance in Round 4 with a 101 points last weekend and I feel this could be a consistent theme across the year. The key thing for owners will be to stick fat and enjoy the ride.

I will be looking at Brian Kelly next week as To’o is more of a priority for me this weekend, but I can understand others who may be bringing him in to strengthen their CTW position. While we are talking about CTW, consider Corey Thompson who is producing elite level scores this season with an average of 74 PPG. However, he has scored six tries in five matches.

It’s important to note that Tino Fa’asuamaleui spent a considerable amount of game time on the edge and also played just 66 minutes last weekend. Therefore, I wouldn’t be reading too much into the 26 point score.

RABBITOHS V TIGERS

Sat 17 Apr, Stadium Australia, Sydney, 5:30pm

RABBITOHS

1 Latrell Mitchell, 2 Alex Johnston, 3 Dane Gagai, 4 Campbell Graham, 5 Josh Mansour, 6 Cody Walker, 7 Adam Reynolds, 8 Tom Burgess, 9 Damien Cook, 10 Tevita Tatola, 11 Jacob Host, 12 Jaydn Su’a, 13 Cameron Murray

Bench: 14. Benji Marshall 15. Mark Nicholls 16. Patrick Mago 17. Jai Arrow

Reserves: 18. Hame Sele 19. Liam Knight 20. Troy Dargan 21. Jaxson Paulo

Injuries:

  • Jaxson Paulo (head knock, round 6)
  • Taane Milne (knee, round 6)
  • Blake Taaffe (ankle, round 8)
  • Braidon Burns (knee, round 8-9)
  • Jed Cartwright (back, mid-season)
  • Liam Knight (concussion, indefinite)
  • Brock Gardner (Achilles, indefinite)

Teams Analysis

Cody Walker returns from suspension, seeing Benji Marshall drop back to the bench. Dean Hawkins drops out through injury.

Latrell Mitchell turned it on last Thursday night, but it was against the Broncos. I wouldn’t be rushing out to trade Tedesco to him now but he’s definitely capable of these big scores. That’s two ton’s to start the 2021 season.

Dane Gagai also lit it up last weekend and with Cody Walker back against an underwhelming Tigers side, he could go big once again. What’s seriously impressive is his base with 41 and 39 points coming from pure base over the past two games.

TIGERS

1 Daine Laurie, 2 David Nofoaluma, 3 James Roberts, 4. Asu Kepoa, 5 Tommy Talau, 6 Adam Doueihi, 7 Luke Brooks, 8 James Tamou, 9 Jake Simpkin, 10 Stefano Utoikamanu, 11 Joe Ofahengaue, 12 Luciano Leilua, 13 Alex Twal

Bench: 14. Moses Mbye, 15. Luke Garner, 16. Thomas Mikaele 17. Zane Musgrove

Reserves: 18. Jacob Liddle, 19. Alex Seyfarth, 20. Tom Amone, 21. Michael Chee Kam

Injuries:

  • Joey Leilua (head knock, TBA)
  • Billy Walters (knee, round 6-7)
  • Shawn Blore (wrist, round 6-8)

Teams Analysis

There are some big changes here for SuperCoach. Firstly, Jake Simpkin replaces Jacob Liddle at hooker with Liddle dropping to the reserves. Stefano Utoikamanu gets a crack at the starting prop spot with Zane Musgrove dropping back to the bench. Joey Leilua is out injured and has been replaced in the centres by Asu Kepaoa.

The dropping of Liddle makes him a prime sell candidate this week but it will be a bit frustrating to owners given the BE of 11. Simpkin could be a great downgrade target in the coming weeks.

With Utoikamanu being promoted to the starting side, he is definitely a hold for now and a potential start in your 17 depending on whether or not this improves his minutes. My gut feel is that he will probably play similar to the 40 odd minutes that he has been playing over the past couple of weeks.

Joe Ofahengaue has retained the starting edge spot over Luke Garner and is a definite watch now. He played 67 minutes last weekend for 97 points with 54 coming from pure base, which is fantastic. Thankfully, I was able to pick him up off the waiver wire in my draft league late last week.

James Roberts can’t be started in our 17’s and is a definite trade out despite the Round 12 bye coverage.

RAIDERS V EELS

Sat 17 Apr, GIO Stadium, Canberra, 7:35pm

RAIDERS

1 Caleb Aekins, 2 Bailey Simonsson, 3 Jarrod Croker, 4 Curtis Scott, 5 Jordan Rapana, 6 Jack Wighton, 7 George Williams, 8 Josh Papalii, 9 Josh Hodgson, 10 Iosia Soliola, 11 Hudson Young, 12 Elliott Whitehead, 13 Joseph Tapine

Bench: 14. Tom Starling 15. Ryan Sutton, 16, Saliva Havili, 17. Emre Guler

Reserves: 18. Sebastian Kris, 19. Matt Frawley, 20. Corey Harawira-Naera, 21. Dunamis Lui

Injuries:

  • Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (neck, TBC)
  • Curtis Scott (ribs, round 6-7)
  • Harley Smith-Shields (biceps, round 20)

Teams Analysis

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad is out with a neck injury and has been replaced at fullback by Caleb Aekins. Ryan James is also out and has been replaced in the side by Emre Guler with Joseph Tapine named to start at lock. Curtis Scott has replaced Sebastian Kris in the centres in the only other change.

Aekins is $296k and could become a relevant option should CNK miss significant time given he is available in the CTW position.

The James absence is a bit of a mystery but could be due to repeated head knocks.

EELS

1 Clint Gutherson, 2 Maika Sivo, 3 Tom Opacic, 4 Marata Niukore, 5 Blake Ferguson, 6 Will Smith, 7 Mitchell Moses, 8 Reagan Campbell-Gillard, 9 Reed Mahoney, 10 Junior Paulo, 11 Shaun Lane, 12 Ryan Matterson, 13 Nathan Brown

Bench: 14. Oregon Kaufusi, 15. Isaiah Papali’i, 16. Keegan Hipgrave, 17. Bryce Cartwright

Reserves: 18. Joey Lussick, 19. Haze Dunster, 20. Wiremu Greig, 21. Jordan Rankin

Injuries:

  • Ryan Matterson (concussion, round 6)
  • Dylan Brown (suspension, round 7)
  • Waqa Blake (calf, round 7)
  • Michael Jennings (stood down, indefinite)

Teams Analysis

Ryan Matterson has been named on the edge after once again being a late withdrawal last weekend. This sees Isaiah Papali’i drop back to the bench. Dylan Brown is out through suspension and has been replaced in the halves by Will Smith. Keegan Hipgrave joins the bench.

After a slow start to the season, Nathan Brown has turned a bit of a corner with scores of 63, 69 and 72 over the past three weeks. However, his scores over the past two weeks have included some attacking stats, with a try assist and line break assist last weekend. Against the Dragons, he could have had a try if he didn’t butcher an athletic tap back from Mitchell Moses in the first half.

Isaiah Papali’i has been unreal but surely it’s too late to jump on now with Matterson named to return every week.

DRAGONS V WARRIORS

Sun 18 Apr, Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Sydney, 2pm

DRAGONS

1 Matt Dufty, 2 Cody Ramsey, 3 Jack Bird, 4 Zac Lomax, 5 Mikaele Ravalawa, 6 Corey Norman, 7 Adam Clune, 8 Blake Lawrie, 9 Andrew McCullough, 10 Paul Vaughan, 11 Josh Kerr, 12 Tariq Sims, 13 Tyrell Fuimaono

Bench: 14. Kaide Ellis,i 15. Trent Merrin, 16. Daniel Alvaro, 17. Brayden Williame

Injuries:

  • Ben Hunt (leg, round 8)
  • Cameron McInnes (knee, season)
  • Jack de Belin (stood down)

Teams Analysis

No changes, however, Josh McGuire has been named in the reserves and could make his club debut.

Zac Lomax’s price continues to decline and with a BE of 104, we are not too far from a price point that will start to look very attractive.

WARRIORS

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, 2. Peta Hiku, 3. Adam Pompey, 4. Marcelo Montoya, 5. Ken Maumalo, 6. Kodi Nikorima, 7. Sean O’Sullivan, 8. Leeson Ah Mau, 9. Wayde Egan, 10. Tohu Harris, 11.Josh Curran, 12. Jack Murchie, 13. Jazz Tevaga

Bench: 14. Ben Murdoch-Masila, 15. Bunty Afoa, 16. Kane Evans, 17. Paul Turner

Reserves: 18. Rocco Berry, 20. Tom Ale, 21. Jamayne Taunoa-Brown, 22. Taniela Otukolo

Injuries:

  • Marcelo Montoya (head knock, TBA)
  • Bayley Sironen (shoulder, TBA)
  • Euan Aitken (ankle, round 9-11)
  • Chanel Harris-Tavita (foot, round 13-14)
  • Addin Fonua-Blake (knee, round 19-20)

Teams Analysis

David Fusitua is out with a hamstring and has been replaced on the wing by Peta Hiku. Eliesa Katoa has been omitted with Josh Curran named to start on the edge, while Bunty Afoa returns from suspension and has ben named on the bench with Tom Ale making way.

Jazz Tevaga played 57 minutes at lock for 87 points with 68 points coming in pure base – classic Tevaga. He’s been named to play in the middle again but remains a risky option.

Fusitua is a sell, but you’re not making much on the trade so it may be worth just stashing him on your bench until returns. Surely he has to fall over the try line at some point!

If you started with Kodi Nikorima, now may not be a bad time to cash in on him particularly with Sam Walker available.

COWBOYS V BULLDOGS

Sun 18 Apr, Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townsville, 4:05pm

COWBOYS

1. Valentine Holmes, 2. Kyle Feldt, 3. Justin O’Neill, 4. Connelly Lemuelu, 5. Murray Taulagi, 6. Scott Drinkwater, 7. Ben Hampton, 8. Coen Hess, 9. Reece Robson, 10. Jordan McLean, 11. Shane Wright, 12. Ben Condon, 13. Jason Taumalolo

Bench: 14. Jake Granville, 15. Lachlan Burr, 16. Francis Molo, 17. Corey Jensen

Reserves: 18. Esan Marsters, 19. Mitchell Dunn, 20. Peter Hola, 21. Jake Clifford

Injuries:

  • Connelly Lemuelu (shoulder, TBA)
  • Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow (leg, TBA)

Teams Analysis

Jason Taumalolo returns at lock with Coen Hess shifting to prop, Francis Molo to the bench and Reuben Cotter out. Justin O’Neill returns in the centres with Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow dropping out completely. Josh McGuire has transferred to the Dragons.

Ben Condon looks like a solid short term cash cow and downgrade option for Riki. He’s priced at just $187k and with a BE of -28, he will earn cash. The base is not great and he only played 49 minutes on the weekend but with a Cowboys team lacking depth at the moment (no real injuries to note and Josh McGuire has left), he could get a good run at it.

BULLDOGS

1. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, 2. Nick Cotric, 3. Will Hopoate, 4. Corey Allan, 5. Tuipulotu Katoa, 6. Jake Averillo, 7. Kyle Flanagan, 8. Dylan Napa, 9. Sione Katoa, 10. Jack Hetherington, 11. Adam Elliott, 12. Corey Waddell, 13. Luke Thompson

Bench: 14. Jackson Topine, 15. Renouf Atoni, 16. Chris Smith, 17. Ofahiki Ogden

Reserves: 19. Brandon Wakeham, 21. Dean Britt, 22. Joe Stimson, 23. Matt Doorey

Injuries:

  • Lachlan Lewis (head knock, round 6)
  • Jeremy Marshall-King (foot, round 10-12)
  • Raymond Faitala-Mariner (foot, round 18-22)
  • Jayden Okunbor (knee, round 20)
  • Nick Meaney (broken ribs, indefinite)
  • Christian Crichton (knee, season)

Teams Analysis

Josh Jackson is out injured with Luke Thompson replacing him at lock and Chris Smith comes onto the bench.

Jake Averillo is back! After missing Round 4 through injury, he produced a try, a try assist and two line breaks. Exactly what we were hoping for from Round 1. He’s at a very attractive price point for the CTW position and is an option to bring straight into your sides with a BE of -7 and a game against the equally hopeless Cowboys.

DWZ performed well at fullback and is also available at CTW. He has a season average of 62 PPG and priced below $400k. If he continues to get named at fullback then he could be an option in a very difficult CTW position.

Luke Thompson is another Bulldog to keep an eye on. He’s been named to start at lock with Josh Jackson out and produced 83 points in just 44 minutes last weekend (with a try).

Jackson Topine has retained his bench role and is on the bubble this round. I went early last weekend but is in no way a must for this week.

Fanbloodytastic write-up as always Wenin you legend!!!

The Duke

Thanks W. I have picked up DWZ on your recommendation. I…cut the Cheese to do it.

The Duke

It makes my three quarters look a bit better. Not so Fustile anymore.

stormers

Nice read mate thanks

Death rider

“Congratulations to those who bravely traded out James Tedesco a fortnight ago.”
A damn ballsy move for those that did it.
Absolutely no way in my right mind am I ever going to trade out a fit Tedesco.

Dunners

This is easily the best supercoach read all week from any website, great stuff

The Pretender

Wenin is very good !

GSUS

Papa 3.0 seems like a reasonable pick up. Plays the first bye and a low score of 54 even from the bench. He is 2RF/FRF as well. Tough game this week though.

I feel like Matto is one more head knock away from retirement. Poor bugger.
