Wenin’s Teams Analysis – Round 5

The Wenin’s unfortunately were not lucky enough to have selected Pappy as captain in Round 4 and even with captain, Nathan Cleary hitting 100, it was not enough to save me from a relative mediocre score this week. My Round 4 score was 1,287 and the current ranking sits at 4,932. We go again.

The named Round 5 team’s include some huge in’s with Jason Taumalolo and Kalyn Ponga both named, while Harry Grant has been named in the reserves. Making way is Cody Walker, who is out suspended, while the Knights have several senior players set to miss through injury.

And how could we leave out Bryce Cartwright. He is set to make his debut for the Eels.

RABBITOHS V BRONCOS

Thurs 8 Apr, Stadium Australia, Sydney, 7:50pm

RABBITOHS

1 Latrell Mitchell, 2 Alex Johnston, 3 Dane Gagai, 4 Campbell Graham, 5 Josh Mansour, 6 Benji Marshall, 7 Adam Reynolds, 8 Tom Burgess, 9 Damien Cook, 10 Tevita Tatola, 11 Jacob Host, 12 Jaydn Su’a, 13 Cameron Murray

Bench: 14. Dean Hawkins 15. Mark Nicholls 16. Patrick Mago 17. Jai Arrow

Reserves: 18. Hame Sele 19. Jaxson Paulo 20. Troy Dargan 21. Steven Marsters

Injuries:

  • Jaxson Paulo (head knock, round 5)
  • Hame Sele (ribs, round 5)
  • Taane Milne (knee, rounds 6-8)
  • Braidon Burns (knee, round 6-8)
  • Blake Taaffe (ankle, round 8)
  • Jed Cartwright (back, mid-season)
  • Liam Knight (concussion, indefinite)
  • Brock Gardner (Achilles, indefinite)

Teams Analysis

Benji Marshall replaces Cody Walker at 5/8, who is out suspended. Jacob Host comes into the back row for Kaeon Koloamatangi who is also out suspended, while Dean Hawkins comes onto the bench.

Walker’s absence will no doubt cause a dilemma for existing owners, but he is not a sell with the majority likely carrying Josh Schuster or Matt Moylan as a reserve 5/8. Damien Cook is flying at the moment with a three round average of 85 PPG, including a 106 point performance last round. The Broncos have been smashed up the middle this year, no more evident than three of the four tries scored by Ryan Papenhuyzen last Friday night, so he looms as a great VC option here.

It was interesting last weekend that the Bunnies seemed to favour their right side of attack more and wiith Walker now out of the side, what does this mean for Dane Gagai and Alex Johnston?

BRONCOS

1 Jamayne Isaako, 2 Xavier Coates 3 Richard Kennar, 4 Tesi Niu, 5 David Mead, 6 Anthony Milford, 7 Tom Dearden, 8 Matt Lodge, 9 Jake Turpin 10 Payne Haas11 Alex Glenn 12. Jordan Riki 13 Tevita Pangai Jnr

Bench: 14. Brodie Croft 15. Thomas Flegler 16. John Asiata 17. Ben Te’o

Reserves: 18. Ethan Bullemor 19. Rhys Kennedy 20. Cory Paix 21.

Injuries:

  • Kotoni Staggs (knee, mid-season)
  • Herbie Farnworth (shoulder, round six)

Teams Analysis

Herbie Farnworth is out with a shoulder injury and has been replaced in the centres by Richie Kennar. Patrick Carrigan is out suspended, with Tevia Pangai jnr named to start at lock, while John Asiata comes onto the bench. Tom Dearden remains in favour as the starting halfback.

It was a shocking SuperCoach performance all round for the Broncos against the Storm on Good Friday. Only one player scored 60 or more and that was Jake Turpin. Even the returning Payne Haas could muster just 55 points in 69 minutes of football.

One of the big talking points from the loss to the Storm was the output of Tevita Pangai, who played just 30 minutes from the bench for a dismal 32 points. He looked off, and the same can be said about the majority of his teammates following a welcomed win against the Bulldogs. With a BE of 114, I can understand that a few owners will be getting toey, but I think he is a hold for now as he is surely far too important to the side than to feature in just 37.5% of the total available game time. Before this, he had scores of 79, 100 and 82, the first of which was in just 39 minutes. He’s been named to start this Thursday, so as an owner I will be hoping that he can revert to something over 50 minutes and this should hopefully see a solid SuperCoach score.

Tesi Niu is a hold for now also despite the BE of 39. There are still price rises to come and he can slot into your CTW as a starter ahead of the likes of Charlie Staines, David Fusitua and Bailey Simonsson

WARRIORS v SEA EAGLES

Fri 9 Apr, Central Coast Stadium, Gosford, 6pm

WARRIORS

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, 2. David Fusitu’a, 3. Adam Pompey, 4. Marcelo Montoya, 5. Ken Maumalo, 6. Kodi Nikorima, 7. Sean O’Sullivan, 8. Leeson Ah Mau, 9. Wade Egan, 10. Tohu Harris, 11. Eliesa Katoa, 12. Jack Murchie, 13. Jazz Tevaga

Bench: 14. Ben Murdoch-Masila, 15. Tom Ale, 16. Kane Evans, 17. Josh Curran

Reserves: 18. Rocco Berry 19. Paul Turner 20. Jackson Frei 21. Taniela Otukolo

Injuries:

  • Addin Fonua-Blake (knee, TBA)
  • Jamayne Taunoa-Brown (suspension, round 6)
  • Peta Hiku (knee, round 7)
  • Euan Aitken (ankle, round 9-11)
  • Chanel Harris-Tavita (foot, round 13-14)

Teams Analysis

Addin Fonua-Blake is out with a knee injury (TBA), seeing Leeson Ah Mau start at prop. Bunty Afoa is out suspended, so Tohu Harris has been named at prop. Jack Murchie comes into the starting back row, while Kane Evans has been named on the bench with Tom Ale and Bayley Sironen drops out.

Tohu Harris is having another cracking year with a season average of 77.5 PPG. The base is there at 63 PPG, but it’s the addition of some attacking stats that is lifting him to elite status this season and making him almost a “must-have” at $630k. I wouldn’t be to put off by the fact that he has been named at prop this weekend.

Kodi Nikorima’s 35 points in Round 4 was a great example of why you should not chase last weekends points. David Fusitua has been frustrating but it’s not worth selling him at the moment.

SEA EAGLES

1 Dylan Walker, 2 Jason Saab, 3 Brad Parker, 4 Morgan Harper, 5 Reuben Garrick, 6 Kieran Foran, 7 Daly Cherry-Evans, 8 Taniela Paseka, 9 Lachlan Croker, 10 Martin Taupau, 11 Jack Gosiewski, 12 Josh Schuster, 13 Jake Trbojevic

Bench: 14. Cade Cust, 15. Toafofoa Sipley, 16. Sean Keppie, 17. Josh Aloiai

Reserves: 18. Tevita Funa 19. Zac Saddler 20. Christian Tuipulotu 21. Ben Trbojevic

Injuries:

  • Morgan Boyle (shoulder, TBA)
  • Moses Suli (back, TBA)
  • Haumole Olakau’atu (elbow, round 5)
  • Tom Trbojevic (hamstring, round 5-6)
  • Jorge Taufua (Achilles, round 5-6)
  • Curtis Sironen (knee, round 6-8)
  • Karl Lawton (Achilles, round 11-12)
  • Andrew Davey (knee, season)
  • Manase Fainu (stood down, indefinite)

Teams Analysis

Morgan Harper comes into the centres to replace the injured Moses Suli. Jack Gosiewski comes into the second row to replace Morgan Boyle, who is out injured. Toafofoa Sipley comes onto the bench, while Nuff legend, Ben Trbojevic, has been named in the reserves. Tom Trbojevic remains out of the starting side injured.

The Sea Eagles are completely irrelevant for the time being. Even former heavyweights in Jake Trbojevic (season average 56.5), Daly Cherry-Evans (season average 45) and Martin Taupau (season average 56.3) are not worth looking at right now. Things could change with the inclusion of Tom Trbojevic, but their draw is not getting easier any time soon.

Josh Schuster’s place in the starting side looks safe for now.

PANTHERS V RAIDERS

Fri 9 Apr, BlueBet Stadium, Penrith, 7:55pm

PANTHERS

1 Stephen Crichton, 2 Charlie Staines, 3 Paul Momirovski, 4 Matt Burton, 5 Brian To’o, 6 Jarome Luai, 7 Nathan Cleary, 8 Moses Leota, 9 Mitch Kenny, 10 James Fisher-Harris, 11 Viliame Kikau, 12 Kurt Capewell, 13 Isaah Yeo

Bench: 14. Tyrone May 15. Spencer Leniu, 16. Matt Eisenhuth, 17 Liam Martin

Reserves: 18. Scott Sorensen 19. Robert Jennings 20. J’maine Hopgood 21. Jaeman Salmon

Injuries:

  • Dylan Edwards (hand, round 8)
  • Api Koroisau (wrist, round 8-10)

Teams Analysis

No changes.

Nathan Cleary somehow managed to crack the ton in round 4. That man’s middle name must be Junk.

Brian To’o is a great buy, even at the elevated price point with the Panthers set to face the Broncos, a depleted Newcastle and Manly over the next month. If you have the cash and can upgrade your CTW, then he is the main option that I would be looking at.

Matt Burton is tempting but is only available as a dual 5/8 / HFB. He is priced at $341k, and now has a BE of -26 following his 107 point performance against the Sea Eagles. He should continue to be named in the centres as long as Dylan Edwards remains out of the side. The kid is a gun and a POD, for now. I just wish that he was available at CTW :(.

Spencer Leniu remains a hold with a BE of 26.

RAIDERS

1 Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, 2 Bailey Simonsson, 3 Jarrod Croker, 4 Sebastian Kris, 5 Jordan Rapana, 6 Jack Wighton, 7 George Williams, 8 Josh Papalii, 9 Josh Hodgson, 10 Ryan Sutton, 11 Hudson Young, 12 Elliott Whitehead, 13 Joseph Tapine

Bench: 14. Tom Starling 15. Saliva Havili, 16. Sia Soliola, 17. Ryan James

Reserves: 18. Sam Williams 19. Semi Valemei 20. Dunamis Lui 21. Corey Harawira-Naera

Injuries:

  • Curtis Scott (ribs, round 5-6)
  • Harley Smith-Shields (biceps, round 20)

Teams Analysis

Joseph Tapine returns from injury to start at lock. Ryan Sutton and Josh Papalii both have been named to start in the front row, with Ryan James dropping to the bench and Dunamis Lui dropped to the reserves. Corey Harawira-Naera has been named in the reserves.

Josh Hodgson proved to be a solid hold for owners with a score of 63 against the Titans. With a BE of 11, he has one or two more price rises to come before being upgraded to Damien Cook or Harry Grant. He also played the full 80 minutes despite both Siliva Havili and Tom Starling being named on the bench. However, Starling only played 5 minutes.

Ryan James should be held despite the BE of 48 as the 5 that he scored in Round 3 will be out of his rolling average soon and there will be more green arrows to come.

TITANS V KNIGHTS

Sat 10 Apr, Cbus Super Stadium, Gold Coast, 3pm

TITANS

1 AJ Brimson, 2 Phillip Sami, 3 Brian Kelly, 4 Patrick Herbert, 5 Corey Thompson, 6 Tanah Boyd, 7 Jamal Fogarty, 8 Jarrod Wallace, 9 Mitch Rein, 10 Tino Fa’asuamaleui, 11 Kevin Proctor, 12 David Fifita, 13 Tyrone Peachey

Bench: 14. Moeaki Fotuaika 15. Sam Lisone, 16. Jaimin Jolliffe 17. Erin Clark

Reserves: 18. Beau Fermor, 19. Herman Ese’ese, 20. Sam McIntyre, 21. Ash Taylor

Injuries:

  • Anthony Don (hip, TBA)

Teams Analysis

Brian Kelly returns in the centres with Phillip Sami shifting to the wing and Anthony Don out injured. Ash Taylor has been named in the reserves.

The Banner was stifled once again and this time it was David Fifita with the new Titans recruit scoring 88. This sees him with a season average of 91.3 and has surely proven that he is a must-needed commodity in 2021. His forward partner and fellow recruit, Tino Fa’asuamaleaui finally produced a big score with a 93 point game against the Raiders. He now has a season average of 65 and is in keeper territory for the FRF position.

After a bit of a spruiking last week by yours truly, Tyrone Peachey failed to deliver with a score of just 36 in 58 minutes. It was bound to happen.

Jamal Fogarty to Sam Walker next week makes sense.

KNIGHTS

1 Kalyn Ponga, 2 Starford To’a, 3 Enari Tuala, 4 Gehamat Shibasaki, 5 Hymel Hunt, 6 Connor Watson 7 Blake Green, 8 David Klemmer, 9 Jayden Brailey, 10 Daniel Saifiti, 11 Tyson Frizell, 12 Mitch Barnett, 13 Sauaso Sue

Bench: 14. Chris Randall 15. Pasami Saulo 16. Josh King 17. Brodie Jones

Reserves: 18. Jack Johns 19. Brayden Musgrove 20. Simi Sasagi, 21. Garrett Smith

Injuries:

  • Kurt Mann (head knock, round 6)
  • Tex Hoy (hamstring, round 7-8)
  • Dom Young (knee, indefinite)
  • Edrick Lee (foot, round 6)
  • Phoenix Crossland (knee, round 8)
  • Bailey Hodgson (knee, round 9)
  • Mitchell Pearce (pectoral, round 14-16)
  • Bradman Best (elbow, indefinite)
  • Lachlan Fitzgibbon (shoulder, indefinite)
  • Jirah Momoisea (Achilles, indefinite)

Teams Analysis

Kalyn Ponga returns from injury at fullback with Tex Hoy out with a hamstring injury. Mitchell Pearce will miss 10-12 weeks with a pec injury and has been replaced by Blake Green at halfback. Connor Watson moves from the bench to five-eighth with Kurt Mann out due to a head knock. Chris Randall, Pasami Saulo and Brodie Jones come onto the bench. David Klemmer has been named despite a knee injury that he picked up last weekend. Bradman Best remains out of the side injured.

Mitchell Barnett continues to pump out massive scores and regained goal-kicking duties once Tex Hoy went off injured last weekend. However, with Ponga back, we may have seen the end of Barnett’s goal kicking duties this year.

Jayden Brailey is yet to peak with a current BE of 37 and a trade to either Damien Cook or Harry Grant may be considered a luxury with far greater issues in our sides.

Connor Watson output may take a slight dip at 5/8. He averaged 44 PPG in four games when starting there in 2019, but this is a different Knights side.

BULLDOGS V STORM

Sat 10 Apr, Stadium Australia, Sydney, 5:30pm

BULLDOGS

1 Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, 2 Nick Cotric 3 Will Hopoate, 4 Corey Allan, 5 Tuipulotu Katoa, 6 Jake Averillo 7 Kyle Flanagan, 8 Luke Thompson, 9 Sione Katoa, 10 Jack Hetherington, 11 Adam Elliott, 12 Corey Waddell, 13 Josh Jackson

Bench: 14. Jackson Topine 15. Renouf Atoni 16. Dylan Napa 17. Ofahiki Ogden

Reserves: 19. Brandon Wakeham 20. Chris Smith 21. Dean Britt 22. Joe Stimson

Injuries:

  • Nick Meaney (broken ribs, TBA)
  • Lachlan Lewis (head knock, TBA)
  • Jeremy Marshall-King (foot, round 10-12)
  • Raymond Faitala-Mariner (foot, round 18-22)
  • Jayden Okunbor (knee, round 20)
  • Christian Crichton (knee, season)

Teams Analysis

Josh Jackson and Luke Thompson both return, seeing Renouf Atoni and Dylan Napa drop to the bench. Dean Britt and Joe Stimson drop out. In the halves, Lachlan Lewis is out due to a HIA, replaced by Jake Averillo. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak returns from suspension and has been named at fullback, with Nick Meaney out suspended. Corey Allan swaps to centre with Nick Cotric on the wing in the only other change.

There’s a big watch on Jackson Topine following his 53 points on debut. He’s a rookie based priced 2RF and could be an invaluable trade in option for Round 6. Apart from that, there’s not much else to talk about.

STORM

1 Ryan Papenhuyzen, 2 George Jennings, 3 Reimis Smith, 4 Justin Olam, 5 Josh Addo-Carr, 6 Cameron Munster, 7 Jahrome Hughes, 8 Jesse Bromwich, 9 Brandon Smith, 10 Christian Welch, 11 Felise Kaufusi, 12 Ken Bromwich, 13 Nelson Asofa-Solomona

Bench: 14. Chris Lewis 15. Tui Kamikamica 16. Tom Eisenhuth 17. Nicho Hynes

Reserves: 18 Aaron Pene 19. Dean Ieremia 20. Brenko Lee 21. Harry Grant

Injuries:

  • Dale Finucane (calf, round 5)
  • Max King (Achilles, round 8-10)

Teams Analysis

Felise Kaufusi returns from suspension, with Tom Eisenhuth dropping back to the interchange bench. Harry Grant and Brenko Lee have both been named in the reserves.

Let’s all captain Pappy here. I mean how couldn’t you after last weekends performance and an extremely favourable match-up against the Bulldogs this round? The only risk is if he gets an early shower…

Justin Olam is definitely on my radar now as a CTW target and can be traded in this round despite a BE of 51. The  Bulldogs are horrible and Olam could ton up. Cameron Munster is a great trade in option this week for those looking to upgrade Tex Hoy.

ROOSTERS V SHARKS

Sat 10 Apr, Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, 7:35pm

ROOSTERS

1 James Tedesco, 2 Daniel Tupou, 3 Josh Morris, 4 Joey Manu, 5 Brett Morris, 6 Drew Hutchison, 7 Sam Walker, 8 Isaac Liu, 9 Freddy Lussick, 10 Siosiua Taukeiaho, 11 Angus Crichton, 12 Sitili Tupouniua, 13 Victor Radley

Bench: 14. Benjamin Marschke, 15. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, 16. Nat Butcher 17. Fletcher Baker

Reserves: 18. Daniel Suluka-Fifita 19. Egan Butcher 20. Joseph Suaalii 21. Matt Ikuvalu

Injuries:

  • Lindsay Collins (ankle/head knock, round 6)
  • Adam Keighran (wrist, round 7)
  • Sam Verrills (knee, round 8-10)
  • Lachlan Lam (knee, round 9)
  • Billy Smith (shoulder, mid-season)
  • Jake Friend (concussion, indefinite)
  • Boyd Cordner (concussion, indefinite)
  • Luke Keary (knee, season)

Teams Analysis

No changes.

What an amazing performance it has been from Brett Morris over the past couple of seasons. With a season average in 2020 of 72 and this year he has an average of 105.8 PPG after four games. Incredibly his ownership is only at 13%, but of course, this can be explained by his very high starting price. At $732k now, it’s now almost impossible to bring him in.

Angus Crichton has a BE of 100 and will be a great buy over the coming two weeks. Start saving your pennies.

Sam Walker will be a must buy next week. Don’t go early.

SHARKS

1 Will Kennedy, 2 Mawene Hiroti, 3 Josh Dugan, 4 Jesse Ramien, 5 Ronaldo Mulitalo, 6 Matt Moylan, 7 Chad Townsend, 8 Braden Hamlin-Uele, 9 Blayke Brailey, 10 Aaron Woods, 11 Teig Wilton, 12 Wade Graham, 13 Toby Rudolf

Bench: 14. Connor Tracey, 15. Aiden Tolman, 16. Jack Williams, 17. Billy Magoulias

Reserves: 18. Brayden Trindall, 19. Nene Macdonald, 20. Andrew Fifita, 21. Franklin Pele

Injuries:

  • Ronaldo Mulitalo (knee, TBA)
  • Josh Dugan (head knock, TBA)
  • Briton Nikora (suspension, round 6)
  • Royce Hunt (knee, round 7)
  • Siosifa Talakai (shoulder, round 7)
  • Shaun Johnson (Achilles, round 7-8)
  • Sione Katoa (knee, round 8-10)
  • Jackson Ferris (foot, round 10)

Teams Analysis

Jesse Ramien returns from suspension in the centres, with Connor Tracey making way and dropping to the bench. Braydon Trindall is the one to drop out of the 17.

Matt Moylan keeps getting it done and is proving to be one of the better money earners so far this year. He’s a hold for now but it would be a gutsy call to start him at 5/8 this week against the Roosters.

Connor Tracy has a current BE of -35 but is no longer an option having been dropped to the bench.

TIGERS V COWBOYS

Sun 11 Apr, Leichhardt Oval, Sydney, 4:05pm

TIGERS

1 Daine Laurie, 2 David Nofoaluma, 3 James Roberts, 4. Moses Mbye, 5 Tommy Talau, 6 Adam Doueihi, 7 Luke Brooks, 8 Zane Musgrove, 9 Jacob Liddle, 10 James Tamou, 11 Luke Garner, 12 Luciano Leilua, 13 Alex Twal

Bench: 14. Michael Chee Kam, 15. Thomas Mikaele 16. Stefano Utoikamanu 17. Joe Ofahengaue

Reserves: 18. Alex Seyfarth, 19. Joseph Leilua, 20. Jake Simpkin, 21. Tukimihia Simpkins

Injuries:

  • Billy Walters (knee, round 6-7)
  • Shawn Blore (wrist, round 6-8)

Teams Analysis

Moses Mbye moves into the centres with Asu Kepaoa ommitted and Tommy Talau shifts to the wing. Michael Chee-Kam joins the bench.

Jacob Liddle proved me wrong with a 73 point performance against the Eels, although the score in 60 minutes did include a try. With a BE of 17, he remains a hold for at least one more week and is a possible play in your 17 this week. However, Jake Simpkin has been named in the reserves.

Stefano Utoikamanu is fast becoming SuperCoach cheapie royalty following another 60+ score. The tries won’t continue but he’s producing almost 40 PPG in base at the moment and that is going to see him earn a lot more cash for us.

David Nofoaluma is getting cheap.

COWBOYS

1 Valentine Holmes, 2 Kyle Feldt, 3 Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, 4 Connelly Lemuelu, 5 Murray Taulagi, 6 Scott Drinkwater, 7 Ben Hampton, 8 Francis Molo, 9 Reece Robson, 10 Jordan McLean, 11 Shane Wright, 12 Ben Condon, 13 Jason Taumalolo

Bench: 14. Jake Granville 15. Coen Hess 16. Josh Maguire 17. Lachlan Burr

Reserves: 18. Esan Marsters, 19. Reuben Cotter 20. Corey Jensen, 21. Jake Clifford

Injuries:

  • Justin O’Neill (head knock, TBA)
  • Murray Taulagi (head knock, TBA)
  • Kane Bradley (shoulder, round 5)
  • Tom Gilbert (broken fibula, round 5)
  • Michael Morgan (shoulder, round 6)
  • Mitch Dunn (foot, round 6)

Teams Analysis

Like hot chips, Jason Taumalolo is back! His inclusion sees Josh McGuire drop back to the bench. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow moves from the wing into the centre with Justin O’Neill dropping out due to a head knock, while Kyle Feldt returns from suspension on the wing. Esan Masters and Jake Clifford have been named in the reserves. Michael Morgan remains out injured.

Valentine Holmes is the only shining light in this lot with a three round of 67. At $508k, he’s still affordable but the current outlook at the Cowboys isn’t fantastic for producing consistently strong SuperCoach scores for a fullback.

EELS V DRAGONS

Sun 11 Apr, Bankwest Stadium, Sydney, 6:15pm

EELS

1 Clint Gutherson, 2 Maika Sivo, 3 Tom Opacic, 4 Marata Niukore, 5 Blake Ferguson, 6 Dylan Brown, 7 Mitchell Moses, 8 Reagan Campbell-Gillard, 9 Reed Mahoney, 10 Junior Paulo, 11 Shaun Lane, 12 Ryan Matterson, 13 Nathan Brown

Bench: 14. Oregon Kaufusi 15. Isaiah Papali’i 16. Will Smith 17. Bryce Cartwright

Reserves: 18. Ray Stone, 19. Haze Dunster, 20. Keegan Hipgrave’, 21. Jordan Rankin

Injuries:

  • Michael Oldfield (knee, round 5-6)
  • Waqa Blake (calf, round 6)
  • Michael Jennings (stood down, indefinite)

Teams Analysis

Ryan Matterson was a late out yesterday but has been named in the back row. This see’s Isaiah Papali’i drop to the bench. Bryce Cartwright is back! He has been named on the bench, while Keegan Hipgrave and Ray Stone both make way.

I was $200 short of starting the season with Blake Fergusson. It hurts. While we’ve missed the price rises to date, he’s still available at under $500k and the Eels have a favourable draw ahead.

Isaiah Papali’i played 80 minutes once again with Matterson ruled out and thanks, in part, to a try he scored 93. Matterson he has been named and this should see his minutes drop, but he’s in seriously good form.

Reed Mahoney is a legitimate keeper for the HOK position this year. Only one score under 80 and two above 100. A huge year from him so far.

DRAGONS

1 Matt Dufty, 2 Cody Ramsey, 3 Jack Bird, 4 Zac Lomax, 5 Mikaele Ravalawa, 6 Corey Norman, 7 Adam Clune, 8 Blake Lawrie, 9 Andrew McCullough, 10 Paul Vaughan, 11 Josh Kerr, 12 Tariq Sims, 13 Tyrell Fuimaono

Bench: 14. Poasa Faamausili 15. Trent Merrin 16. Daniel Alvaro 17. Brayden Williame

Reserves: 18. Jackson Ford 19. Kade Ellis 20. Jordan Pereira. 21. Max Feagai

Injuries:

  • Jayden Sullivan (hamstring, round 5)
  • Ben Hunt (leg, round 8)
  • Cameron McInnes (knee, season)
  • Jack de Belin (stood down)

Teams Analysis

Jack Bird returns at centre with Brayden Wiliame dropping to the bench and Jackson Ford to the reserves.

Tariq Sims has scores of 74 and 101 over the past two weeks in 80 minute games. At $447k, he’s one to watch but he has a BE of -15 and has scored two tries and produced a try assist over this time.
