Wacko’s Whispers (UPDATED) – Round 11

Eels vs Warriors

Eels will be 1-17 with Daniel Alvaro (concussion), Beau Scott (shoulder) and Tepai Moeroa (concussion) all set to play after taking part in Captain’s run. Marata Niukore will make NRL debut and could potentially start for either Tepai Moeroa or Beau Scott. Siosaia Vave will be 18th man with Josh Hoffman the other player to drop out of squad. Warriors been dealt massive blow with Roger Tuivasa-Sheck failing to travel with squad due to impending birth of baby, at moment Warriors have named Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad at fullback but I hear that Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad will play centre with Peta Hiku moving to fullback. Issac Luke (shoulder), Agnatuis Paasi (concussion), Mason Lino (ankle) and Issiah Papali’i (concussion) are all in some doubt with Gerard Beale and Karl Lawton named as cover if any of them are ruled out.

Broncos vs Roosters

Broncos will have 1 change to 17 named with goal kicking rookie Kotoni Staggs who can play both centre and 2RF set to make NRL from bench replacing Gehamat Shibasaki. James Roberts failed to finish Captain’s run due to Achilles issue but is expected to play. Jordan Kahu is expected to return from broken jaw in coming weeks after taking part in Captain’s run. Roosters set to be 1-17 with all players taking part in Captain’s run with Nat Butcher and Sitili Tupouniua to drop out of squad. Daniel Tupou looks set to return next week after also taking part in Captain’s run after recovering from pectoral injury.

Titans vs Knights

Titans could have 1 or potentially 2 changes with Kevin Proctor set to be ruled out due to groin injury picked up last week after wishbone tackle by Cameron Smith, this will see Ryan James moving to left edge with Max King starting in FRF with Bryce Cartwright coming on bench. Only other possible change to 17 could be Konrad Hurrell replacing Dale Copley in centres. Nathan Peats (ribs), Jai Arrow (ribs), Jack Stockwell (concussion), Jarrod Wallace (concussion) and Keegan Hipgrave (wrist) all trained during week and will play. Keegan Hipgrave will play as right edge 2RF after training there during week. Knights expected to be 1-17 no late changes expected despite Jamie Buhrer and Jacob Lillyman named as reserves.

Cowboys vs Rabbitohs

Cowboys I am expecting to have 1 change with Ben Hampton in doubt with ankle injury, I expect him to be ruled out with Javid Bowen or Enari Tuala to come in at centre. Jason Taumalolo (ankle), Matt Scott (shoulder) and Shaun Fensom (elbow) are all expected to play. Also there are unconfirmed rumours around which could see Lachlan Coote being dropped with Michael Morgan moving to fullback with Te Marie Martin coming at 5/8 with either Javid Bowen or Enari Tuala coming onto bench. Rabbitohs look set to be 1-17 with Captain’s run to be held up in Townsville on Friday morning but they have no players in doubt after all trained during week.

Storm vs Sea Eagles

Storm only player in doubt is Ryley Jacks due to concussion, Jacks would need to pass all concussion protocols and take part in Captain’s Run to play, if ruled out either Jahrome Hughes or Brodie Croft would come into to partner Munster in halves, if Hughes comes into halves Patrick Kaufusi would come onto bench to make club debut. Joe Stimson is expected to take up goal kicking duties when on the field. Sea Eagles look set to be 1-17 with no players in doubt with Trent Hodkinson named to start on bench in his 2nd stint at Sea Eagles

Dragons vs Raiders

Dragons have Ben Hunt (cork) and Jack De Belin (hip) in some doubt, they were both on light duties earlier in week but did train with squad later in week and are expected to play. Kurt Mann (concussion) is the main player in doubt due to concussion he would have to pass concussion protocols to play but if ruled out either Reece Robson or Zac Lomax could come onto bench. Raiders are expected to be 1-17 with only player in doubt is Blake Austin due to leg injury, reports are he did train with squad during week and is expected to play but if he is ruled out Sam Williams will come into 17 as a direct swap, no other late changes expected.

Sharks vs Bulldogs

Sharks will have 1 change with Sosaia Feki set to be dropped to make way from return of Josh Dugan from broken toe with Valentine Holmes moving to wing. Paul Gallen (knee) and Jaysen Bukuya (virus) both trained during week and will play. Andrew Fifita will also play despite not training during week. Bulldogs will have 1 change with Raymond Faitlala-Mariner set to be ruled out due to knee injury this will see Adam Elliot starting in 2RF with either Aspeli Fine or Greg Eastwood set to come onto bench, no other late changes expected.

Sorry, my question was referring to Hurrell possibly replacing him. But thank you for the educated reply.
