Main ones that come to mind, with only 8 trades left it’s more of a quality over quantity now & those 3 players I’d be scared to be without for the run home.
The low trades has put you in a bad spot. Paps is the 30th highest points scorer and has played 5 less games then Hynes (Currently highest scorer). Paps is nearly 10 points per game higher then anyone else on average. He is also one of the few capable of going 150+. IMO he’s worth the injury risk especially because you have Ponga taking up a FB spot and he just hasn’t fired consistently this year. I would be aiming to get Grant first as I don’t think you can play Cheese and I worry about McIness minutes with Finucane… Read more »
You might eventually want David Fifita. He’s been a forgotten man since he’s been out, but if he tons up his first game back, everyone will want him again. Save some trades just in case.
Speechless Chook?
I think you are telling fibs…. as max trades would give you at least 9 trades for rd 16 unless you already included a trade for rd 16
Feel free to pick this plan apart or give other suggestions.
Not thrilled about selling Crichton but some of the other guys like Tago and Talakai won’t give me enough funds to get Papy plus I’m keen to get Tapine for the Dragons this week.
Round 16
Arrow to Nuff
Crichton to Tapine
Round 17
Cotter to Nuff
Koula to Matto via duals
Kiraz, Tago or Talakai to Papy

This week – tago, cwalker, koula > to’o, brown, anderson
Next week – talakai, chrichton > matterson, murray
So basically you are trading (Price/Ave/BE): Tago ($512k/59/73) > To’o ($628k/64/4) Calker ($579k/53/111) > Brown ($629k/73/94) Koula ($358k/37/13) > Anderson ($175k/58/-54) Talakai ($543k/67/73) > Matterson ($677k/71/117) Crichton ($590k/59/93) > Murray ($603k/73/88) Personally I feel the To’o trade is a little sideways. To’o’s average was higher last year but the PTH didn’t have May on the other wing as well. In previous years To’o has averaged 59 and 57. Talakai for To’o for me is a same same. Whilst they both have mixed draws, I am over Calker and Brown has a much better Ave. I assume Koula > Anderson is… Read more »
i was off to’o this year because the panthers right side has never been a great scoring spot, however they definitely seem to work the ball to the right in attack plays a lot more this year, perhaps because of the confidence in to’o. its too scary to not own him and id take him over tago for rest of the year for sure.
honestly my opinion is that he’ll be “the next in line” in case of injury, but he will only be that – realistically you could potentially wait until he does (because at best it’s Rd17 only when they reshuffle due to Origin3 taking Munster out of the team)
I think he looks decent, but he’s basically competing with Ieremia for a spot in the side (and he’s not quite getting it), especially given that Paps will be back for next round (hmm… HYPER POD pick?)
Agreed. Anderson only scored 32 against the Broncos and could very likely be dropped. Pappy comes back in and Meaney moves back to ctw. Would be a waste of a trade imo.
David Fifita is not a buy just yet IMO. Coming back from a fairly lengthy injury, BE of 128 and playing for a rubish team. I’d prefer others to Barnett but a look at his stats and he would seem to be undervalue with a nice run coming up. Trading Tago or Talakai to Barnett feels sideways though.
Barnett is a good but risky buy for round 17 hoping he’s holds the edge for 80. Not sure who I’d sell of those two but probably Tago. Fifita is a no, high BE and not back yet and doesn’t play 17.
I’m thinking munster out round 17. Meany will play in the halves. Paps at the back. Anderson on wing.

Hey all, not going to lie I am craving more supercoach content to keep the brain ticking in this interim period. As such I am just going to put some thoughts on rd 17 and my bye approach for people to pick apart or discuss. Currently sitting on 9 players for rd 17 (Mcinnes, Ipap, Matto, Hughes, DBrown, Ronaldo, CGraham, Lomax, WKennedy). I have 15 trades and 1 boost left. Im currently sitting in the mid 300s on ranking so its looking like now or never to make a legitimate push for top 100. All said, I have 5 –… Read more »
Pretty accurate summary of the options, I reckon. Well done. You haven’t got Mam, but most of us have. His value is more in the dollars he makes rather than the points he scores (although his points could still make him a buy). You’ve left out Cody Walker, but that may be deliberate. He’s a risk. Most of the other round 17 options are hit and miss money makers rather than keepers, so I’m staying away from people like Amone and Ramsay. Anderson is a cash cow worth picking up, but his job security is dodgy. I struggled without Team… Read more »
Thanks mate. Tbh I skipped Mam and went brown preemptively. In hindsight, probably not the ideal choice but I have been trying (and often failing) to steer clear of anyone with risky spots or minutes. He’s made a stack of cash and scored in a similar range but nature of the game. As I started with Hughes I never really had the flex to fit him in. There’s a good chance he carves up the dragons come Rd 17. Yep Walker is in the risky pile and cons out weigh pros vs other candidates. Yeah same on Rava for me,… Read more »
Ravalawa is a no go in my opinion, only scores good when he gets a try . He is outside a bloke that doesn’t see much ball who can create try scoring opportunities with his flick pass but Rava is rarely in a good position to capitalise on them .
Torn – thinking Saab(….) – Anderson and Cotter – To’o? 30 in bank
Grant (Luke)
Klemmer Lolo (Molo Nuff)
Ipap Ola Crichton Cotter Tago* (Piakura)
Cleary (Mam)
Munster CWalker*
Talakai Lomax Mulitalo May Tupou* (Kiraz Saab)
Hynes (Koula)
Pick 2?
Cook
Tapine
Too
tapine and cook. will both outscore to’o
That’s a big call
considering i have too yeh it is
cooks run after origin dont think he goes anywhere near the other 2
Cook and To’o both have way higher ceilings than Tapine.
I think Tapine & To’o.
The above 2 are purely based on South’s not firing this yr which is well documented.
I believe Cook is in the early stages of talks with south’s re extension of his contract.
P.s if blues win origin Cook could replace one of the other 2 imo.
Is tlt today or next week?
Next week. Only rep round this week
because teams could have injuries through out this weekend
Mciness/cheese
ipap lolo/tpj nuff
ola gus kiks/kolo rfm nuff
cleary/hynes
munster/dbrown
ronaldo too manu lomax/talekai may koula
ted/ponga
only 8 trades left who do i make sure i get?
133k intb
Grant
Papz
Murray
Main ones that come to mind, with only 8 trades left it’s more of a quality over quantity now & those 3 players I’d be scared to be without for the run home.
Im not going papi too scared he goes down again but appreciate the other 2 suggestions
Paps will be a great POD as soon as he comes back – could be a great way to make ground
The low trades has put you in a bad spot. Paps is the 30th highest points scorer and has played 5 less games then Hynes (Currently highest scorer). Love the ponga selection . He could be gold over the last 5 /6 rounds with the draw
yea picked him up round 11 and hes gone 70 70 7(hia) 80…..not bad for 450k
You might eventually want David Fifita. He’s been a forgotten man since he’s been out, but if he tons up his first game back, everyone will want him again. Save some trades just in case.
Well he might be cheap enough to get in after his next game but he has burnt a lot of coaches this year so not 4 me even if he tons up.
He’ll coast his way to a post season vacation.
8 trade with 2 Nuffs already? think you are cooked chook
Speechless Chook?
I think you are telling fibs…. as max trades would give you at least 9 trades for rd 16 unless you already included a trade for rd 16
I tried to reply with a sad face but it didnt apply lol……yes ive used a trade for this round
16 trades, 33K ITB
Grant/McInnes
Ipap/Lolo/Arrow/Ming
Olak/Talakai/Tago/Crichton/Cotter/S.Harris
Cleary/Mam
Brown/Walker
Manu/Graham/To’o/May/Lomax/Kiraz/Anderson
Hynes/Koula

Round 16

Koula to Matto via duals
Kiraz, Tago or Talakai to Papy
This week – tago, cwalker, koula > to’o, brown, anderson
Next week – talakai, chrichton > matterson, murray
Then will need a few nuffs to go mam > papi
TU – Good trades
TD – Make some changes
So basically you are trading (Price/Ave/BE): Tago ($512k/59/73) > To’o ($628k/64/4) Calker ($579k/53/111) > Brown ($629k/73/94) Koula ($358k/37/13) > Anderson ($175k/58/-54) Talakai ($543k/67/73) > Matterson ($677k/71/117) Crichton ($590k/59/93) > Murray ($603k/73/88) Personally I feel the To’o trade is a little sideways. Cant comment on the analysis but i will give you a +1 for the formatting, made it very easy to read.

does Anderson even play a third game?
honestly my opinion is that he’ll be “the next in line” in case of injury, but he will only be that – realistically you could potentially wait until he does (because at best it’s Rd17 only when they reshuffle due to Origin3 taking Munster out of the team)

There is a lot of people out there who wish they could make all those trades in 1 round !
Howdy All ….so definitely no game 3 SOO squad members available for round 17..is that correct???
Thanks crew
Specifically 1 through to 18th man won’t be available. Additional reserves will be released (19th man and beyond)
Appreciate the reply thanks PB
Hey lads need some advice.
Sell Tago or Talakai
Buy barnett or david fifita cheers
David Fifita is not a buy just yet IMO. Coming back from a fairly lengthy injury, BE of 128 and playing for a rubish team. I’d prefer others to Barnett but a look at his stats and he would seem to be undervalue with a nice run coming up. Trading Tago or Talakai to Barnett feels sideways though.

In time when the price is right, Fifita is getting minutes and he is more than just a decoy then yea he will be a trade in option
Tago or Talakai to Barnett isn’t just sideways, its backwards!
Will anderson play round 17 for storm.
That is the question! 😉
I’m thinking munster out round 17. Meany will play in the halves. Paps at the back. Anderson on wing.

Some good shouts, I’m really keen on Sivo too, he could avg 75+ over the next 4 games V R16 – Rabbitohs, R17 Tigers, R18 – Warriorrs, R19 – Broncos
