Going by the votes I am guessing the Banner Curse will go to Papz

Is Alec Macdonald still a slow burn option?
Need a downgrade to facilitate Harry Grant.
Hindsight should have got on either of Koula or Brodie Jones last night but got nervous with Koula not playing and having not really had a look Brodies Jones yet.
Feels like im clutching at straws
$289 k available.
I turned up the heat on my original slow-burn selection of Macca by changing to Tackle High. He’s going to make more money faster and then I can upgrade my other hooker as well.
Ha! Had to read that a couple of times. Unfortunately I don’t have the cash for Talakai or any of the other options in that price bracket unless I downgrade AFB. Which is my other option.
If he’s out I think that’s the way I’ll go.
It’s pretty hard to make up some of these nicknames, but fun too. One thing I still struggle with, is the position of Fullback/Hooker. You know, Turbo, Teddy, Papi: they all push right up behind the ruck and look for the gaps. I tried Fooker but that applies to most of the guys. Then I thought of Fullooker. They come up for a full look at what’s happening and then insert themselves.
Came on to say the same thing. I like the look of Moale but he needs match fitness big time, still very young for a front rower and hasn’t played match footy over the last couple of years thanks to the lower grade comps being cancelled. I’ve heard Nicholls is out for 8 weeks, Sele is on the bench for NSW Cup and coming back from injury. My only concern for Moale is Sele makes his way to first grade and takes that bench spot off him. Souths bench this week is Taaffe, Host, Knight & Moale…maybe Sele comes in… Read more »
Yeah he was the only other option I could find. Don’t really know much about him so appreciate that insight. Always the risk with going early I guess. I’ll keep an eye on first cut this afternoon
I still think Alec MacDonald is a valid option (fortunately I started the season with him). Should get dual FRF/2RF after Round 6 which will also be handy with late outs due to Covid being prevalent this season.
I came on here to ask the exact same question. Would be my third trade.
I know that whichever one I have will do their acl this week and the other will ton up.
I’m doing this exact trade, I have given Fifita too many chances & hasn’t delivered. Murray is expected to increase by 42k & Fifita is expected to drop by 20k
Wont surprise me to see Murray’s minutes drop as Souths draw gets easier. Lighten his workload. However he could already have done damage to the opposition
I have to trade either Hiku or Nanai, I know Nanai has more cash to make but I have a feeling Hiku could score well against the Warriors. Nanai worries me as his base is low, he has a lot of errors in his game and unless he scores a try he will not score points.
What are peoples thoughts on this?
I had the same decision, I kept Nanai. It depends upon the depth you have in both positions. Both are likely to do well this week.
Hiku may drop money and Nanai will make money. You also have to look at what trades if any you need to make next week and whether a bad score from Hiku/Nanai will affect your bank.
Hiku to TackleHi thru duals for me this week. Keeping Nanai for his upside. Might go alright this week against the Warriors.
Have Fermor from the start.
Who to Captain?
TU: Papy
TD: Hynes
Thanks

Moale from Souths may make a little cash over the next month or so while Nicholls is out. Only $205k

Will cost u 2 trades to get him in and out for minimal gain. I’d rather nuff personally

Great callout UD. Lower minutes, more attacking stats opportunities? Maybe more of a 50-120 range than his normal 60-100.
Murray has looked good. A lot up the pointy end already own, to catch them do you need to pod with a Koloa or Sitili. Frees up more cash but riskier.
TU) Fifita to Fermor and walker to hynes
TD) FIfita to talakai and wlker to hynes
Big Delamere, who would you captain?
cheers
1 and 2 are going to be 15-20% each. but a nice zag could be moses vs titans on a sunday arv
Cheers, I can also see Kikau running over the dogs or maybe he will soften up against a team he will be joining next year lol!!
Moses vs Titans is Sat night.
I’ve been contemplating May. Don’t think I’ve got the balls though. Can he keep the try scoring streak going?
Would be a bold bold man to do that given many of the more established guns have favourable matchups… fortune favours the brave though!
talakai or fermor?
Fermor should have that 2rf spot all year. talakai could be benched in 2-3 weeks when players return
yeah, BeFirm! because Tackle High has a bit of history: injuries, suspensions, form drops etc.
Who is more likely to be the better choice to hold
TU: Bird but now at 5/8
TD: Aitken shocking few games coming up for the Warriors?
Thxs all I am going with your votes

Thanks Sorjas, it was always going to be Hiku but I started second guessing myself, I think I will stick to my original plan.

Onya Boris, Tacklehi is the spelling I was after. ‘Tackle High’ is a bit too obvious.
