Got Cleary and Hunt. Thinking about going Hunt to SOS, then the following week SOS to Swalker. Just to generate that bit of extra cash. I know its an extra trade but Warriors play Manly and SOS could have a decent spike in cash. Just thinking outside the box a little
TU SOS this week then Swalker next
TD Straight to Swalker this week
Unless you really need the cash for an upgrade to a gun elsewhere this week I’d hold and bring in Walker next week. Definitely don’t go SOS then Walker. Whatever you make from SOS is not worth burning a trade and he could get fail a HIA early and even lose money the way this year is going

Thoughts on Sutton? Obviously won’t keep scoring tries, but is there logic in bringing him in this week and using his low BE to get to a gun frf/ srf in a few weeks time even if I have the cash to go straight to a TKO/ Paulo/ Tohu now? Or won’t there be enough cash to be made if he’s at 500k already?
Team is:
Watson/Liddle
Tino Welch/Leniu Utoi

Cleary/SWalker
Munster/Schuster
Holmes Capewell Laurie Staines/Niu Fus Simo
Pap/Teddy

If Matto misses this week, he’s a trade out. Frustrating him not playing yesterday, but does anyone see any real trade outs or necessary trades? Was thinking of going Matto to Lucy and Capewell to To’o. Thoughts?

Who do I upgrade? Niu, Mead, Simonsson, Staines or Kris. Never been more undecided in my life
Not sure how long Scott is out for, but if he’s back I think Kris has to go. Otherwise I’d say Simo (without seeing Meads BE). Staines is worth a hold with his upcoming draw. If you’re trading Niu you must have a hell of a good team
first trade locked in Fogary- Walker which will leave me 262k in the bank
for the 2nd trade do i upgrade simmo to fergo or should i trade matto given he is playing the last game of the round and may be a late out and bring Fifita?
You need 2’o over both if you dont already have him
Other than that, depends on the situation …. Matterson is destined to lose money however he is a solid go for the remainder of the season when healthy. I would bring in Fergo if you can afford to lose the dosh on matterson. Otherwise Fifita it is
Might be Latrell’s turn this week against the same opponent.
I wouldnt force Hoy > Schuster, Sironen could be back shortly if hes on the low end of his injury timeline and that probably means Schuster benched.
Unfortunately, I think its a hold trades and watch cheapies kindve week. If you can snag a decent forward cheapie (few of them around atm) you will be able to upgrade Niu next week.
If you can find a way to get Fergo from Niu this week, then it might be worth the trades.
Should I trade AFB out to someone like TKO?
Also have TPJ who I am frustrated with, thinking maybe trading him to Kikau? I also really want To’o this week. Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated, team is as follows
I would probably hold AFB, his injury seemed like a knock rather than an actual injury – keep an eye on the NZ media for updates.
TPJ is probably a trade, not sure why he played so little minutes on the weekend but since Haas and Lodge started, he might lose minutes. Terrible idea by Kevvie given TPJ’s quality, what is he thinking.
If only Papenhuyzen was my captain last week, probably would’ve been Top 1000 last week otherwise.
Have $19.2k left. Honestly tempted to just hold steady this week as I can’t see too many glaring holes and there aren’t really any good rookies yet. Anyone else have any other ideas?
Both have good match ups against the Broncoes and Sharks. However, Teddy has a HUGE BE and the thought of Papy against the Dogs is enough to keep a man from sleeping at night.
My gut feeling is to hold and reassess in a fortnight after Mitchell has played the Broncs and my Tigers. But Papy?!?
I would imagine they are licking their lips. Teddy v Sharks and Latrell v Broncs. On Teddy’s BE – you had to know at that price he was going to face a couple of big ones throughout the year. I think your reassessment comment is bang on.
Drooling. Both at my boys matchups and while rocking in the corner thinking of Papy v dogs lol

I’m looking but that CTW resembles a bog. You have to make money so the Welch>Topine seems the logical starting point. But I’d be getting rid of Saab before Staines. As bad as Staines is he could still make some cash. Saab can not Saab>Fergo/Momi rather than Staines>To’o ?
To’o is a set and forget keeper. I think you need to be looking at generating cash/ looking for value in that CTW at this point in time.
Full disclosure. Sitting 20K atm. Not sure my advice is all that sound, haha.
Welch just had his best sc game yet and finally got his offload out. Along with Tino, they may have finally woken up and might live to the hype they had in pre season. Both holds.
I’ve done pretty much the same thing but went OFA – Topine and Staines – to’s, I think Topine will be playing a bit this year, hopefully, gets a couple more 50’s and he will generate some cash

The Liddle>Schuster call is already looking like it’s going to haunt me. Liddle just went up another 50K with more to come. Fergo( who I would’ve brought in)is now 70K more. That’s 120K that Schuster has to make in his first price rise just to make the trade look sideways instead of straight up crap. Not happy with Wennin or whoever persuaded me, lol.
In better news I’m delighted to get rid of another CTW lemon masquerading as a cash cow.
Liddle to Schuster got you 100k last week. Schuster then made 32k more than Liddle this week. Next week Schuster has a -36 b.e compared to Liddles 17 b.e. You are minimum going to make 200k more on Schuster than Liddle when you include the funds you got from downgrading. Yes i know Liddle outscored him last week but going forward i would not be surprised at all if they scored similar or in games where Manly aren’t versing the minor premiers, they score a couple more tries and he is in the thick of it. Like against the Warriors… Read more »
You made alot of good points there but I would’ve had Fergo in the side last week and saved 70K. That plus the 50K Liddle just made is 120K. I’m not sure you can immediately add the 100K downgrade because Liddle will get culled eventually anyway maybe much further down the track. Calling it a successful trade already is premature imo. I see it as this. Fergo 70K+ Liddle 50K( with more to come from Liddle) and not to mention a loss of 64 pts playing Schuster instead of Fergo. At this moment right now I see the trade as… Read more »

Last week I boldly traded Teddy and Fuimaono out for Papy and Fifita which couldn’t have worked any better. In saying that watching that Roosters game without Teddy was terrifying so I’m already working out a way to bring him back into the side. Current plan is keeping Latrell for the next 3 games then switching him to Teddy in Round 8 when Souths draw gets a bit tougher. Hopefully by then Teddy will be a little cheaper and ripe for picking. Deathriding Teddy isn’t fun though so if you’re thinking of pulling the trigger this week to get Pap,… Read more »
Yeah know what you mean. Already had my fair share of bad luck with injuries this season starting with Brian Kelly and also bringing in Davey the week he did his ACL so hoping I’ve copped my bad fortune already. The way this season is going with injuries though you’re right it’s extremely risky.
To be fair Staines would of hit mid 20’s if it wasn’t for the couple minutes he spent at FB. Probably not the most urgent trade out given the quality of the team he plays for, but also if he gets you a gun then I don’t mind it.
Don’t think you can play Staines with any confidence regardless of the opposition.
Sure but can’t deal with him seems excessive when im staring at the likes of Saab in my team. Now that’s someone who needs to begone. Staines although he hasnt shown it yet still has potential to hit 2-3 tries in a game. He isn’t a rush sell for me especially whilst he now has a 50 and 39 in his average to stop him from bleeding. 7 b.e he is a hold for me.
I am also a proud owner of Saab, the only positive I can find for him is he will make cash if he falls over the line. That being said, he looks slow, can’t jump, can’t tackle, doesn’t take any runs and honestly would struggle to make most of the Q-Cup teams.
Hes supposed to be rapid and good for catches as he is so tall. He looks slow but im sure his long strides actually give him a good km/h time. Manly halves are badly out of form which doesn’t help for kick tries.
Saab is Bevan French without the tries.
Saab’s first eleven NRL games (without the 4 tries included) has SC scores of 33, 32, 9, 20, 54, 13, 13, 11, 29, 20, 5 for a total of 239 at an average of 21.73
French’s first eleven NRL games (without the 13 tries included) had SC scores of 22, 16, 17, 26, 9, 20, 32, 17, 22, 18, 23 for a total of 222 at an average of 20.19
Absolutely useless information I know but funny all the same for comparisons.
Yep, talent is probably what shows in the fact that he scored 13 tries in his first 11 games however his work ethic was sorely lacking much like Saab. I can’t remember what game it was but he was on a SC score of 0 in the 70th something minute having done no hit ups or tackles for the entire match up until that time.
I did. I have Kris and Simonsson. It’s possible I reverse and go one of those instead of Staines but it feels good to give Staines the heave ho. He;s been in my 17 each week and it’s wearing thin. Take his one try out in game three and it’s even worse. The Staines trade frees up extra cash and unless he is named at FB( I can’t see Chrichton losing it) I think he’s not going to make anymore money than Kris or Simonsson from where all three sit now. That wasn’t a stupid decision. Would you even have put Walker in your 17? He only outscored Schuster by 30-40 odd and made no money. However you have now made 130k from the liddle trade and are in a great spot moving forward. 130k is worth far more than 30-40 pts IMO. Think long term, not short term.
Can just grab Walker this week for Hunt. Use that cash to sell Saab (preferably) or Fui for To’o if you can afford it.

Just go straight to Walker, next week. Don’t go a week early on a cheapie in case he gets injured.

Trades are important.
Unless you really need the cash for an upgrade to a gun elsewhere this week I’d hold and bring in Walker next week. Definitely don’t go SOS then Walker. Whatever you make from SOS is not worth burning a trade and he could get fail a HIA early and even lose money the way this year is going
