I want your thoughts on Frizzy. As soon as Pearce got injured last week his involvement in attack was diminished. Many of his runs came from Pearce. Can I get some opinions on this … Do you all think Frizzy was wasted due to all attack Dragons tried running down his side or without Pearce he just couldn’t seem to get involved?
If Frizzy is a no go zone due to the pearce injury, what you all think of the below:

TD: Hold Frizzy and sell Welch for Paulo
I’d hold Friz and see what happens next week. Their game was chaos with injuries, Ponga is supposed to be back this week too, so worth seeing how that effects things.
Not really much you can do then besides those two trades to generate cash for following week, cant think of a CTW that would be worth it around the 300K mark
Those two trades do absolutely nuttin for your team. You stay stuck in a hole with cash and who is to say Williame will outscore Fus next week. I’d be trading Leniu or Welch and moving Tino up and playing Riki who seems good for a solid 50 every week. Not sure who you can bring in, but gotta be somebody to grab. Then upgrade in the CTW. Otherwise you’re just condemning your team to a crap score every week due to the CTW. You got more chance of getting a steak from Wenin than those 4 scoring 70+ in… Read more »

That leaves $49, 700. Next week i can go Fus> sualli & niu> another large upgrade
only thing i would say is, eventually have to start bye planning and not sure is Mahoney will get picked with grant their. just food for thought, all are good options, i like munster
Cody is probably first choice at 6 for NSW or maybe even Jack Wighton, but there is the possibility to go with the Penrith halves if the Pennies keep on truckin’. I thought they may have a few hiccups to start the year but they are better than last year.
Yes, they definitely could. Fitler likes having settled combo’s, he also likes big body’s. Luai can hold his own but he isn’t a Wighton physique nor is Cody. In saying that if the Panthers keep on purring like they are atm Luai might be too hard to ignore.
In response to Owen, if memory serves, before covid the 18th+ men were released back to their clubs if they were playing that weekend. In these covid times I’m not sure, which would be an interesting one cos if Luai was named 18th+ man, would he be released?
Have a similar view, looking to move one on this week to free up some cash and it’s a really close call. Matto should be back soon so he should demand a bit more of the footy so leaning towards Paulo at this stage. Cheers
TKO doesn’t play origin, but TKO slightly more of a crock. Paulo had his issues last year as well. Haas of Pain could drop a bit of coin and be juicy in a 3 weeks.
Unsure on what I want to do for trades this week. Can go Sitili straight to Tohu Harris (about 10k short of getting Dfif). Alternatively I could go fusitua to any ctw under 468k, but with the way my cow are set up right now im fairly happy playing Capewell, to’o and Laurie each week and taking a punt on the 4th cow. Any thoughts much appreciated!
I’d definitely trade Fusi first. Staines could still make some more cash and there’s the chance he moves to fullback as well (and getting more base stats)
We don’t know when Suaalii is gonna play. If you were making 150+ from the trade you’d feel more comfy with it. But how much you gonna make with trading the Fus. He’s gonna score soon… surely!!!

Magic number this week has dropped another 200 points, down from 8575 to 8376.
Started the year at 8859.
To calculate a breakeven, use the following formula.
Breakeven = ( ( Player Current Salary / Magic Number ) x 3 ) – last two scores.
eg Paphenhuyzen = ( ( 751800 / 8376 ) x 3 ) – 73 – 197 = -1

Thanks Sally. Can I ask where you got the magic number from?? NRL Supercoach is saying his $PP is $5724. Have they just not updated this?
$PP is a different figure. Magic Number is the rolling figure that is used each week to calculate a players BE.
Probably best to avoid thinking of them as the same thing.

I would be holding Welch as welch. 71 in his break even for the next couple of weeks. so should still make money. i see that as more of a luxury trade

I’m liking Luai and Mahoney. I don’t think either will be picked for Origin but it’s still early days. Both have good draws. Mahoney is $30k cheaper

I reckon Mahoney makes the Qld side. Harry can play a bit of middle if needed. Luai probably misses out just for NSW.
