I have 1 trade left and am holding awaiting further announcements from judiciary and injuries.
So saying, I am apologising for previous comments I made that Murray would not be a top 3 2RF. He’s the man, pretty simple – consistent base. Wish I had him, and those that don’t with extra trades should look at him.
I also have one trade left, and if Tapine is out I’m using it, but not on Murray.
While I’ve never said anything bad about him, I keep finding reasons not to pick him. Souths have a tough draw and he tends to go best against the poor teams. That’s my reason this time, anyway.
If I had two trades I might pick him, though.
TLT the key. Some suggestion that Wishart plays half and Meaney plays fullback (if fit), with Munster returning to 5/8.
From Fox Sports:-
Team Tips: Scans have cleared Jahrome Hughes of major damage to his shoulder but he may miss 1-2 weeks with further diagnosis to come, the club confirmed. Craig Bellamy is hopeful of getting Nick Meaney back this week and suggested Tyran Wishart will replace Hughes at halfback.
1410 with 100 extra pts on the pine. Garrick, best frf Arrow.
My biggest concerns seems to be 2rf , but with 3 trades left i am thinking I’ll leave that trade button alone this week.
Small mercies is no known injuries.
No idea. It is ridiculous, he has only ever played 7s rugby. Has no 1st grade league experience

1488 moved me up 216 spots to 530th. I need that type of result every week from here on to crack top 100.
3 trades left. Any news on Matto and Ola? I will sit on Hughes but one of those chaps likely needs replacing. If Matto is out then I probably punt him as a HIA is bad news with his history.
Nice going! Had a similar week to you and back into the top 100 after a bad week couple weeks back. I’ve also got similar trades to you and tempted to trade but was burnt last year in the final Rd and thinking that the best move is probably to hold trades till the last couple rounds, especially if you can field a decent’ish side for the next two. Think those last two rounds is where you can make big ranking moves with trades in hand. If you can’t field a decent team if Ola, Matto and Hughes aren’t named,… Read more »
Just checked 50 % roughly own Difi on top 100. 42% in top 1000. He has a due but feels more like a defensive play…. Have Murray, Angus & Tago… the latter a tough play now.
I’m keen to find out about both Tapine and Ola too as my H2H opponent has them

UGh i need some thoughts. Ive held CAlker all year but his 2022 low ceiling is hampering me. Got 1508 last week to go into the top 3000 and won all H2H but some were close
1. Murray – top 2RF, reasonably fixture proof
2. Mitchell – tough run home but I still wouldn’t want to be a non-owner
3. Grant – has seemed out of form lately, I swear his 97 this week was full of unicorn points.
Just my opinion 🙂

The magic number to calculate breakevens this week has risen from 8538 to 8600 which makes breakevens marginally easier to attain.
To calculate a breakeven use the following formula
Breakeven = ( ( Players salary / Magic Number ) x 3 ) – last two scores
eg Joey Manu = ( ( 902900 / 8600 ) x 3 ) – 101 – 48 = 166
Note: SC’ers with 0 trades left can ignore this message.

anyone looking at ben hunt as a hughes replacement? his 23 & 24 opponents are red hot!
Needing some H2H advice @ the pointy end please. $10k ITB, 3 trades remaining and straight into the semi. Solid side and just the Tapine injury to potentially deal with. Should I sit tight on trades this week or nuff with one trade so I have greater flexibility to go double upgrade R23 (would leave me trade less in the final)? Thoughts….
You are in a good spot with injuries… I would sit tight. I play overall but in my H2H finals experience (often finish minor premier but lose major semi when down to 1 trade) you need those trades in the semi and final. If you are winning the semi you may be able to use just the 1 trade next week. You need that ability though to match your opponent or go for a POD as the weekend goes on. If they have trades and you don’t) then they have a big advantage over you. Don’t forget there are probably… Read more »
I play H2H a fair bit (as well as overall) if there is a major gun you’re missing it’s a chance to get them in e.g. Munster, Mitchell or Murray. But if you’re sitting on a good team I’d hold trades. You could burn one and then cop a major injury. Basically if you don’t need to trade I’d hold and make moves based on your match-up.
Some sound advice thanks. I think my main concern is the $10k ITB, if next week I need to trade Tapine, I’d have to go trade down to generate any cash for another upgrade. But as you say probably better sit tight and go on the fly through the weekend (would leave me a trade for the final too)

i’m aware i won’t have a HFB if Hynes goes down but i’m stoked with the rest of my squad and willing to take the risk. lock it in?

Giving Olakau’atu another week but he is certainly on watch, hopefully he pulls through that injury of his soon and is back to dominating players again.
Thinking of bring in AJ for To’o(Eels edge defense) and then maybe Angus for Tapine. Seems a bit sideways but there not a lot else I need and I have trades to burn.
Lomax before To’o I think. Mulitalo possibke replacement on match ups (he only narrowly missed out on 2 tries last week and looked hungry). As for Tapine, Crighton is good when he gets attacking stats. Ola has the titans this week (if one of your nuffs is duel). Ofa is back in the 13 and has been getting more mins again.

Got him this round and glad I did. Was tossing up him or Doueihi
Went Tapine over him…2 trades left but see how TLT goes.
I also have one trade left, and if Tapine is out I’m using it, but not on Murray.

Hey guys what happens if an elimination h2h finals match is tied?
goes to highest ranking player before the round
Appreciated
Who is jumping on the Johns Bandwagon? I still have Cleary and he could be a nice downgrade to free up some cash.
I have 5 trades left
If you don’t own Murray, seems a pretty easy way to bridge that gap especially with 5 trades left.
I think I am going to do it, depending on TLT and I already have Murray

Thought Hughes was only out for 2 weeks?
Are updates done?

does anybody know why certain debutants are cheaper then others? miller is 205k and hasn’t got a price rise yet, but dykes is 175k?
Past performance plus any junior rep honours – Junior Kangaroos /nsw/qld

How bout Nanai. He’s ownership was low in the top 100 & 1000 before this week just gone. But you’ll be paying top dollar.

Rest of the team is set.
Cook, Grant
Papi, Haas
Murry, Kiks, Yeo
ARey. Hynes
Cody, Munster
Val, Manu, Dewey, Garrick
Teddy, LM
With 3 trades left,,,,, is Cody a HOLD or do i go either DBrown or Drinks?
TU – Brown
TD- Drinks
Souths last 4 rounds are parra, panthers, cowboys, roosters – it’s a tough run.
Drinks finding his form again
Drinks looked like scoring another 30 points till 2 late tries.
I am thinking about him as an option as well.
Please rate in order of importance;
Grant
Murray
Mitchell
1. Murray – top 2RF, reasonably fixture proof
2. Mitchell – tough run home but I still wouldn’t want to be a non-owner
3. Grant – has seemed out of form lately, I swear his 97 this week was full of unicorn points.

Hunt will either score you 7 or 70….so no
Exactly – great draw but with 2 scores less than 10 this year in 80 minute games he is no certainty to show up.
As much as I like the Dragons R23 and 24 I don’t think I can bank on anyone in the team to take advantage of it.
Any news on Tapine? Likely to play or might get minutes managed?
50/50. We’ll know tomorrow apparently.

Want Murray. Who goes for him;
Olak, Harris or Kikau
Harris for me.

I’d go Tass > Murray then hold trades
2 trades left and i’m using them both. Ming, Anderson > Murray, Garrick leaves me with a team of:
Cook (Robson)
IPap, Haas (Ofa, Pole)
Murray, Olak, Matterson (Lolo, Nuff, Nuff)

Munster (Brown)
Manu, Garrick, Doueihi, To’o (May, Mulitalo, Tass)

What is the nature of the leg injury though? Lack of detail is frustrating. He and Matto could be late outs…
Is Mam a play this week at suncorp V knights?
I’d say so. Even with last week’s ‘upset’, the Knights are not travellers.
Tapine injured dot on the app sux
Cook (Grant)
IPap, Haas (Tapine, Nuff)
Murray, Matterson, Nanai (D Fifita, Nuff, Nuff)

You’ve made the right trades and held at the right time to have a team like that with 8 trades still. Well done and best of luck
Thanks!
