Decided against making any trades this week. Will start Sao or Kikau over Latu. Gives me another week to evaluate options.

Kikau over Sao if he stays starting. Latu fine on the pine for another week as long as you are comfortable with being able to make only 1 additional trade next week for flexible injury cover/booming cash cow etc. (Latu obviously being a given 1st trade)

Unfortunately warriors play before Panthers, so won’t know whether Kikau is starting or not.

Despite how well he played, it’s highly likely he goes to the bench for impact on the first rotation.

They have too many good players in the backrow yet the most nailed is arguably the least effective in Yeo. Don’t know why he’s rated so highly by Penrith. JFH/CHN/Kikau all superior imo.

Good point, if you can’t risk it then bank Saos 45+ points.

I’m not even a Panthers fan but it frustrates me to hell seeing Yeo getting 80 mins at the expense of literally every other backrower at the club. He must have some real dirt on Griffin.

Throw Merrin into that list – especially now that’s he’s gotten fit again, he’s a far more impactful player than Yeo. Should be playing more than 48 minutes…

Just throw yeo in the centers hook!one ballhog on that side is enough…

80 min back rowers are like gold. It’s not an easy gig. Makes your bench rotation so much easier. Yeo is a solid player.

I think the opposite Yeo is a very under rated player.CHN and by the looks of it Kikau are solid footballers but Yeo is a very dangerous player good late foot work ,nice hands and does a lot of work off the ball.As far as super coach goes he has a lower floor but he can go big.He is not by any stretch a super coach pod you have to have in your team but real life I truly think he is a bargain forward panthers are lucky to have.Type of player a club can keep get lots out of… Read more »

Any solid time on Tapines injury???

Ive looked everywhere.

havent seen any news. but going purely on what we saw in the game (where he looked annoyed at going off), i suspect it’s not too bad

but probably 2 weeks minimum; and then like JBrom last year, he may not palm / offload as much with that hand for a few more weeks

Out of Griffin, Rochow and Ese’ese what is the order of priority?
Going to be trading out Latu and TKO for 2 of the 3. Which 2 should I bring in?

I’d do Latu to Ese this round, and give yourself another week to assess TKO and also Griffin and Rochow

i dedicate this round’s transfers to rockafella , who was vocally sceptical of ballsoutcheapiefrontrow all through pre-season

Latu to Ese (also considered TPJ but Ese seems to have higher base, an extra year’s experience playing big minutes, and also plays the first bye); and
[redacted]mysteryCWpod to Sami

and that I can evaluate RFM and Griffin for another week. Likely trade-outs are TKO (hoping against hope he turns it around this week) and one of Nichols or Lucy.

I’ve currently gone TPJ over Ese because I like the dual FR/2R, but if TPJ is swapped to the bench before kickoff I will probably have to go Ese

Surely Wayne can’t give his best forward less minutes . Same for asking him to stop offloading . It was a weapon for the Broncos when GOD was playing & I don’t see anyone else in the Broncos pack who is going to do it as effectively as TPJ .

Wouldn’t surprise me if Lodge gets benched for Sims or Thaiday though .

FWIW I have both Esse & TPJ from last week .

Rocka was also talking up Munster I’m pretty sure.

Hey Supercoachers, stupid question but C.Thompson is guaranteed to make good cash (50k+) even if he gets 30’s for the next couple of weeks right?
Thanks in Advance

and what happens if he gets 1, or even 10-15

if you’re trading in someone for cash rises, especially mid-pricers (where their starting price means constantly higher BEs), always, always wait until their second game

A better way to reword it is will the 97 he got last week be part of his 3 Round Average when the prices start moving

Monty Burns

only for 1 round, rather than 2 rounds (like all other round-scores from here on in).

round 1 is the trap round for buying bases on single high scores

Thompson scored 60 odd without the try.
He has forced our best player out of the side.
I think he looks the goods!

But I would wait one more week with us against the Storm this week.

huddo37

hard one as he will go big but his starting prise is so high for a cheapie. From the dogs days he did that sort of thing regularly .I would just see what happens this week see what he gets to possibly squeeze more cash out of him to justify higher prise paid.

tmann

The thing to remember is that his round 1 97 points will only count for his first price rise so if he scores 30 the next 3 rounds, yes he will get a price rise round 3, but his price will go back down again in round 4…. I don’t have him, but am interested to see what he does again this week, if he scores another great score everyone will be talking about him, if he gets 30, he will till be an okay POD. On price I’d prefer him to Marsters, but I think if both Thompson and… Read more »

Hi Guys, the only real concern in my team is Latu, I’m not usually a fan of trading in early but is it worth doing Latu to Rochow, in case there becomes more pressing trades next week? I rate Latu but he didn’t look as good or get the minutes I’m sure most of us were expecting.

Tigers4life

who is a better trade out? TKO or nicholls?

tmann
Member
Gun

depends who you are bringing in I guess, a cheapie or midrange, consensus seems to be TKO won’t get kicking and it is unknown whether his minutes will increase. Nicholls will increase in price as long as he gets gamete, but will prob be a slowburn, potentially even sit on your bench til after first buy and then look to upgrade unless he grabs some good attacking stats or an injury results in him getting increased minutes…

Tigers4life

its more about freeing up cash for next week and keep my options open.
Also TKO is on my pine this week so i’m thinking i might as well bank that money and see if nicholls can somehow jag 30 points off the bench.
Also going cold on rochow and might give him another week ,if kelepi gets another 40+ mins then he might be the better option .

Latu > Rochow, NAS > Griffin looks to be a go for me this week.

jnrglover

Why NAS?
He scored well lat week.
That trade can wait a week.

imnotacartoon
Member

Why wait? I started with NAS hoping he would see 40-45mins now he was starting, even with the bench they named. Unfortunately that wasnt to be. I can’t see the point in holding and hoping it changes. He isnt getting more than 30mins with 4 middle forwards on the bench and therefore isnt going to go up in value. Look at his scores last year. Plenty around the 25-30 point mark when he doesn’t get any attacking stats. You need to be maximising your chances to increase team value in the early rounds and I can get similar scores, and… Read more »

Getting rid of Latu like many others. Top pick for me is Herman. To fund the trade I need to downgrade someone else and TKO is the most sensible option, so will likely turn him into RFM.

I’m going to wait another week on Griffin, and can turn Leilua into him next week.

This plan all changes if Gallen works his way onto the bench again before the game. He is turning into N Brown in that case, which will fund Latu –> Herman.

Also keeping an eye on Teddy this week. A repeat of last round and he will turn into Ponga. Ponga looks set to make cash, and Teddy would lose $100k+. More than justifies the trade imo

I have a feeling Teddy will destroy that right hand defense of Dogs just look what Munster did!

I’m with you on that one. Just unsure if I’ll be wanting to bring teddy back in down the line if Ponga cant keep it up

I am doing similar going Lichaa > Griffin and Latu > Ese’ese giving me a frf rotation of: Ese’ese/Lodge – TPJ/Sao/Kikau/Nicholls (with duals).. Interesting did some stat check this morning Slade only scored another 5-6pts in extra time so take that + try and lb away and would have scored close to 50 in 60min for me better then Lichaa, and looks likely to keep his spot, also push for more min and I think Knights will have another strong game this weekend. Ese’ese however scored nearly 14 extra pts in that 9min stint so would have been at around… Read more »
