Is trading teddy out for Ponga to get cash to purchase Botha rochow and RFM next week a silly move???

I went Latu to Griffin this week.

What are people’s thought of trading out Mitchell to
Sami to get extra cash for trades next week???

Yeah, pretty mental too. Sami would need to make $150k to justify the two trades.

If Sami keeps his spot he will make 150K+. I’ve traded out Croker to Sami to get cash for trades this week and next week.

if he keeps his spot. That’s the kicker.

needs to make 150K difference!… so when Mitchell starts making the $$ his potential has (as much as Sami), that 150k grows

Michael – read the COMMANDMENTS – don’t trade out a GUN!! You waste a trade with him out and then another with getting him back in again … because you will want him later. Roosters will fire with the calibre of players they have and Teddy will be in it … if he didn’t have butter fingers, you wouldn’t even be contemplating! You picked him for a reason!!

C smith be in the ninties and climbing only scored 40 without the kicking. Thinking of trading him to Griffen because he scored a try in nd 1 and is cheap. I could use the money elsewhere.

Obviously a joke but i thought i would apply the same logic that is being used to justify certain trades to a sacred cow to highlight the recklessness of some trade options being floated . Mirror Mirror

Love that move @sams_seals

Love the pep talk from Lance Armstrong. Haha.

Currently do not own Griffen, Rochow, Tanginoa, Sao or Ese’ese. With that in mind is it worth doing two trades this week: Latu to Griff/Rochow and Luciano to Tanginoa?

Luciano to Tanginoa is super sideways, IMO. Tangy could get dropped next week.

I don’t mind the Latu trade, but I still think it’s difficult to decide who is the best to go for. I’d mach rather see another round of footy before making that call.

Ese’ese, were his minutes inflated by extra time …… did he actually play in extra time ?
Also Kikau getting only 35 minutes, knocking up 87 admittedly with a try, a better player this year or ?

From the minutes madness article …

Ese’ese is the other eyecatching mid-ranger from this game – played a strong 52 minutes, including the final 32-33 minutes in one hit. That’s a massive effort from the young prop. However, that means his normal minutes might only be around 42-43 MPG – an increase of 7-8 MPG from his 2017 average, which is still great. However, his PPM all last season was 1.11, and this week he scored at 1.23 PPM which would be incredible for him to sustain in base stats. I would give him one more week before jumping on.

Thanks, good info. I’m choosing between Eseese and Rochow for Draft waivers, who do you think is the better pick up?

Kikau is a better player. Did you watch the World Cup? He’s also been named to start this week (yes, I realise he was named to start last week too).

I highly doubt after Kikau’s performance that he will be shoved to the bench again

Why are most choosing Rochow now over Mariner is it purely on price. I did not watch the Tigers game but got to see the Dogs, Mariner seemed destructive with the ball (one of the few) and seemed to wrack up the tackles. Your thoughts? I am thinking of going for one of them.

Price and RFM only had 30-something in base, whereas Rochow was pure base, so he has a lower floor and therefore is likely to be a more consistent source of cash. RFM won’t score tries every week (probably).

Thanks for the feedback. Rochow can play but always seems injured.
I am not asking for to much just want a player that costs around 200 K plays 80 and averages 80 and never get injured.

Will Rochow be running at Croft or Munster?

If TKO is not kicking and will continue to get 50 mins which seems probable, even if he plays a blinder next week and a few every now and again as we know he can is he worth keeping even another week, is he not just the TKO of old then anyway. Why not downgrade him to Rochow for the cash for next week.

Current team
Smith Cook
JBrom Lodge Latu Sao
Gal Jurbo Carty Tanginoa Kikau Leilua
DCE Moses
Calker Croker
Rapana Latrell Hiku Kennar Isaako Katoa Crichton
Teddy Turbo

Proposed changes
Kikau to FRF starting
JBrom and Latu to fund Tohu and Tatola

Added a Gun, continue with cheap FRF strategy, avoid risky buys like Griffin and Rochow?

Thinking fastest GUN accumulation strategy is the go with less bye planning this year.

Just want to point out that if you are buying Griffin and Rochow to not expect 55+ averages from them. Both of them had their ceiling games on the weekend. Rochow got 80 mins in a game that only saw 2 tries and the ball in play for most of the game. He hasn’t never shown himself to be a particularly strong SC player. Griffin had a try, as well as golden point. Both are decent buys and I will prob pick up Griffin this week, but they are by no means must haves. I see them both scoring consistently… Read more »

Herman’s score is very inflated by golden point too. Rochow can and has proven to average 50+ when fit and playing big minutes. Griffin will most likely have slightly lower base, not by much but certainly 40s minimum imo. Especially when they vs teams who can maintain high posession, resulting in more tackles from Griff.

‘Very inflated’? How many points do you think he picked up in GP?

BillyAbelaLFC

Very might be a tad overdoing it. I’m not sure after updates but it was somewhere near 10 for the golden point. Pretty big difference. Think he’s roughly a 50-55 average player with the minutes he will get at around a 1.1ppm.

ATM I feel Griffin has close to a 50 base from 60min – From the storm system, ball in hands more, tackling machine and will look for the line + forwards close to the line for a try, also can fit into edge if need be (was on the field with watson and lamb in the end). Rochow whilst good base, does he get that everyweek or go missing, also injury history, Sue/Mcgueen bitting at his heels etc etc. Ese whilst min inflated your saying he is a 50-55 pt player from 42-42min play? that is great IMO, and could… Read more »

I like Ese’ese’s (that appostraphe looks wrong haha) Work rate. 22 hit ups on the weekend. He got the starting spot and pushed Brown’s favourite twins to the bench/out of the team.

Knights are also playing with a utility and Buhrer on the bench, And I don’t see Lillyman and Heighnington being big minute players.

I think he will play 45-50 mins a week and comfortably outscore Rochow and Griffin.

I hope you’re right about Griffin TurkeyShow as I am picking him up this week.

I think at the moment its more a point of massaging your cash cows to better ones, thus everyone dropping Latu for, what appears to be, a better option.
