I’m posting my team and my planned (final) trades. I have six left after these. Planning to trade out Papi, move Hynes down to fullback and trade in Cleary which leaves me with 98k. Then trading out Talakai for Holmes.
TU – Good trades
TD – Bad trades
Comment – here’s why.
Current team 62k itb 10 trades 1 boost
Grant Robson
Ipap Tapine ming pole
Olak Lolo Crichton Talakai hosking bully
Cleary Mam
Munster Cwalker
Manu Garrick To’o May Tass anderson schiller
Papi Hynes
Want to get some of teddy, holmes, tohu, murray, dce, latrell, mulitalo, aj, in the run home
Then next week could potentially squeeze in Mam>Holmes via duel ls (based on my calculations if they score just over their projecteds this round)
Then either downgrade someone but I’d probably wait for Pole and Schiller to make some $$ then make another move as you don’t have many cash makers atm
Hi Tommy My post of yesterday: Moved Hynes from FB to HB (without costing a trade): 1) Trade Mam to Perham (Taaffe the other option) 2) Perham/ Hynes HB/FB swap 3) Trade Papi to Mitchell; 4) Trade Perham to Teddy. Cost two trades only + $138K cash If your’e willing to move on Mam,and want two new FB’s, you could try the above approach. $62K itb you should buy any two FB combo you mention above (except for both teddy & latrell together). NB The three trade actions only counted as two. I guess that’s because the initial trade (Perham)… Read more »

Paps to:
TU: DCE (via Hynes to FB)
TD: Manu
Comment: Teddy
Be aware DCE will probably lose the kicking tee at some stage (24 extra points last round as a result). Garrick took the last kick of the game so he must be close to fitness… something to consider.
Teddy if Keary is back at 5/8. The whole “floating Centre” concept doesn’t result in the same level of involvement as actually playing 5/8.
Small sample set – however in the 2 games Manu played 5/8 he averaged 33 receipts a game, while the 3 games prior starting at Centre he had 19 receipts a game. Also interestingly at fullback vs Raiders he had 42 receipts.
Manu if he is named at 6, Teddy if Manu is back in the centres. Manu is still a great CTW option playing in centres. But he’s currently priced as a dominant 1 or 6 and I can’t see him scoring as well in the centres.
I can definitely see the Roosters naming him at 6 on current form, I’m just not sure where that leaves Walker…
I don’t think so. Brown has been scoring 70 and below in recent weeks, mainly because he hasn’t picked up a try. Mitchell has been much better. But Mitchell is a jerk, while Brown is a Ronald McDonald House supporter, according to a story in today’s media.
Wonder if Bellamy has thought about putting Munster at fullback now papi is done for the season. The way the storm play fullback is the most important player. I still think his best position is fullback also.
Thanks mate! Yeah definitely planning to get Cook or Grant and potentially one more CTW for depth and play on match ups. But inevitable injuries/Covid means gotta hold for a bit

Is Ben Hunt a good buy, hes ownership is quite low and could be a good POD, to me it seems like anything that the dragons do ( which is not much) Ben Hunt is involved in.
He does have a 3RA of 90 without GK though which is not too shabby. Games against STG & GCT could result in big scores, and SYD/PAR don’t have the greatest defences atm – which I’m sure DCE will have a high incentive to be involved with Manly fighting for top 8 at Brookvale.
What’s interesting as well is how he finished the last 2 seasons:
2020: 102, 100, 70, and 60 (removing GK)
2021: 96, 84, 132, and 142 (without GK)
Not entirely reliable that it will repeat again, however does show promise that he can finish strong.
I was thinking that as well until I saw Cody has the best 3rd av for 5/8. I’m going to trade out poor Katoa instead which limits me to a CTW. Probably Garrick Holmes or Ramien though he plays the Panthers this week.

Grant Anderson being named on the bench hurts…
Really can’t afford to waste a trade on him at this stage but is he going to become an AE nightmare now?
I’m having this exact dilemma at the moment. Tough run vs having Trell back and taking pressure off Cody. Will definitely fluctuate but might not be as bad as people are thinking
Hosking and Hoeter both not been named in the 17…. served us well and hopefully stay out now which will avoid AE Nightmares… fingers crossed
Subject to injuries of course
AE nightmares aren’t even really a thing these days, haven’t been since rolling lockouts started years ago. And I don’t think either of those players fall into that category anyway.
Ouch! Saints are Manly’s bogey team too. Don’t like the Sipley idea (rumour has it that Keppie will start at lock and be replaced by DWalker). Tread carefully, Duke, and save those trades!
Thanks for the concern Diceman but Sipley’s been in my side for two months. My only trades this week were the aforementioned Papi to Tedesco and Luke Garner to Holmes.
Who should my 5th CTW be for the run home
TU: Koula
TD: May
Comment: Tass
2 of the above will become Manu and one of To’o/Lomax/Holmes over the next 2-3 weeks
Currently got Garrick/Mulitalo/May/Koula / Tass/Hoeter/Burbo
Team is currently (10 trades, $180k ITB) still have 1 boost
Grant/Mcinnes
IPap/Klemmer – Haas/Pole
Kolo/JT/Crichton – Ola/Macdonald/Hosking
Cleary/Hynes
CWalk/DBrown
Too/May/Garrick/Tupou – Suaalii/Tass/Anderson
Teddy/Pap
Thinking obviously Pap out > Holmes
Macdonald > Tohu
Tupou > Mulitalo? or Douehi (could wait another week on both)
Hurts not having Manu though….

Good trades, Duke, but you’re gonna miss Talakai deep down. 😉
Diceman, he’s like a bi…public forum….like a woman who promised the world but delivered very little.
Already going Papi > Teddy
TU: Haas > Murray, 60k itb
TD: Haas > Nuff, 400k+ itb
Comment: Hold trade
why trade out haas?
Comment. You never know what injuries/ covid gonnastrike next
Hold Haas now man
Haas back in the starting side, I’d hold
Need some help on trades
Current team 62k itb 10 trades 1 boost

Sorry that was based on Teddy this week not Trell

no chance walker gets dropped. if keary is back manu is 100% back in the centres
TU: Garrick

have Teddy in at the moment but Garrick has been on fire this season and figure i might need him for the run home
Is Dylan Brown to lettrel sideways
I don’t think so. Brown has been scoring 70 and below in recent weeks, mainly because he hasn’t picked up a try. Mitchell has been much better. But Mitchell is a jerk, while Brown is a Ronald McDonald House supporter, according to a story in today’s media.
Yeah, Latrell is lateral…..literally.
Wonder if Bellamy has thought about putting Munster at fullback now papi is done for the season. The way the storm play fullback is the most important player. I still think his best position is fullback also.
Is there a comparable 5/8th to replace him. Meaney could grow into the role of fullback.
Agree his best position is fullback. Grant Anderson likely back this week though so probably will be on the wing, and Meaney to fullback.
Both Melb and Manly need grade 1 level fullbacks as backup. Neither team has one and missing them is hurting their game
Garrick is a grade 1 level back up. He’d be playing FB permanently in at least 70% of the other NRL teams
Can my dragons have him back please!? We were wrong!
Avoided the Papi drama thankfully
Current team after trades this week (5 Left, 47k ITB)
Mckinnes, Cotter
Papi, Ofa, Haas, Ming
Crighton, DFifita, Aitken, Tago, Piakura, Hosking
Cleary, Hynes
Brown, CWalker
Garrick, To’o, Mulitalo, May, Holmes, GAnderson, JCart
Hynes, Teddy
Going to hold for a bit then final upgrades (HOK). Thoughts?
I’d trade out one of your Hynes and get someone else 🙂
Haha my bad I’ve got Latrell at FB
Your team looks great mate, good idea to hold and maybe make a plan to get a Cook/Grant type
No. He’s Ben Hunt, which means an occasional 30 point score in games where the Dragons get beaten badly. And there might be a few of those.
Thanks for the reply. Im just searching for PODS after a crap few weeks 🙂
DCE (subject to how much people purchase this week) and S. Walker are prob the only 2 PODs I’d consider at HFB.
Hard position to POD given Cleary will take up 1 slot and pushing Hynes to FLB means you’re competing against not having either Teddy/Latrell.
DCE will lose goals to Garrick at some stage though so his numbers are slightly inflated right now
He does have a 3RA of 90 without GK though which is not too shabby. Games against STG & GCT could result in big scores, and SYD/PAR don’t have the greatest defences atm – which I’m sure DCE will have a high incentive to be involved with Manly fighting for top 8 at Brookvale.
What’s interesting as well is how he finished the last 2 seasons:
Not entirely reliable that it will repeat again, however does show promise that he can finish strong.
Interesting resource either way I do like DCE, Thxs James
For me, its neck and neck DCE vs Teddy for that final spot…
Absolutely a head scratcher, though I’ve been tossing up whether to go with both and anti-POD Latrell who’s had 9k+ trade ins so far this week.
We’ll if it’s a neck and neck race surely DCE wins
Great chat !
TU: Teddy
TD: Latrell
Interesting, I felt from reading the other posts on this forum that Teddy was the preferred
Is it possible to go for both?
No. Not permitted!
S.Katoa out for the season in case anyone missed it.
TU- Garrick
TD- Bizza
Last reserve?
Api
Lolo
Ming
Lolo for me (can picture him running at Hastings all night).
Api for me. He’s back looking good and getting attacking stats too. Tough game true vs Sharks but he put on 107 vs the Roosters in r16.
Hughes > Teddy?
TU: Yes
TD: No (too sideways)
Don’t mind it…. I am looking at Calker for a similar trade
Think he swaps with Wishart…
Yeah it’s a pain. Wishart named on the wing. Wonder if they swap before kick off
Xavier Coates should be back soon
Munster in for C.Walker or DBrown.
Walker has a tough run home so thinking he is the one to make way.
T/U Walker
T/D Brown
Cheers

With the Coof dramas at Manly (Jurbo and Davey out) Sipley comes into my starting side for the week,
Ouch! Saints are Manly’s bogey team too. Don’t like the Sipley idea (rumour has it that Keppie will start at lock and be replaced by DWalker). Tread carefully, Duke, and save those trades!
