Paps out to someone, options I am thinking about are (in random order):
* Teddy
* Latrell
* Holmes
Teddy normally starts fire post rep rounds and the Roosters have an alright run. Souths have a horrid run so that worries me for Latrell. Holmes though is making me really me delve deeper.
I just posted in team scores looking at those 3…. Latrell (now ~700K) has a great run in the next 4 games on match ups for a FB (especially warriors game) then the last 3 are very tough. Is he good enough to overcome that? Owned heavily by 52% of top 100 & 36% of top 1000. Teddy’s run is a bit more up and down but about the same overall on matchups for a FB as Latrell so he should go well too. Priced at ~680K. He was owned by 10% of the top 100 & 12% of top… Read more »
Cheers TG. I’m a bit hesitant to give too much advice as I have had the odd clanger. I think there are some bigger (and smarter) fish than me on here too. The Pretender for example has dished out plenty of gold this year. A decent 1416 anyway this week (Rank 699) so will be good to see some green. Last year’s winner Tim smashed out a 1538!!! I wonder if Teddy is the better attacking play given the ownership %’s in the leading pack? Could get both Teddy & Latrell but was thinking of getting DCE instead of Latrell… Read more »
You are no Smug and love your advise…. couldn’t care less if you are ranked 50,000 really… making the right calls is the coaches choice and bring in Manu and DCE in this week for Penisini and Poor Papz…. was a huge call…. ended up with 1427 and lost 1 out of 10 leagues… Happy to take that onwards to next week 🙂
You could take a flyer on Ponga. Nader $500k, I think he will average 75-80 for the run home, with a pretty good draw. You have to trust he won’t get injured, and keeps the goal kicking
At this stage Douehi has told Noddy that he wants to play 5/8 in first grade… or to drop him to play 5/8 for the feeder team. The tigers can’t afford to lose their best player so I think he keeps the spot for the rest of the year.
Is Noddy brave enough to drop Brooks and move Hastings back to half? That is what I would hope he does but I doubt it…
I think it’s too left field. Douehi was insane last year but then the injury and truth to tell he has looked pretty ordinary until this afternoons game against a very secondary Panthers. It’s a lot of money to pay (will be ~$529k) as well and he does play for the Tigers (who suck).
Still as a YOLO left field option it’s definitely out there. Could work but I could not do it.
Tapine should be your first priority. I lost my h2h but it wasn’t because of Tapine. The man is a workhorse.
With Papi’s loss I need a fullback. Tempted to move Garrick down and bring in Manu. That would mean breaking my no Rooster rule (I don’t have players from the Roosters as I can’t enjoy the games if I’m watching scores).
As was written, go on their draw. If the Roosters are back on track then go with Teddy. If you think that Trell can overcome the tough draw go with him.
im thinking i get both teddy and latrell this week, then with only 4 trades left and tapines price not about to move too much, i sit for a few weeks then pull the trigger on him closer towards H2H GF
i most likely dont , i feel like im chasing all year. just dont think i can sit through another game deathriding latrell and teddy. bloody tough! papy out forces my hand, but figure i can cut mam at the same time to double up at fullback (and move hynes to half)
i cant see him going too high this week v eels, so he might only break his BE by 20 or so. depends who we wanna get in i guess, but with latrells BE its probably now or never for him
na all good, mam is going for me this week regardless, its just to who out of latrell / tapine. ive only got 3 playable in 2rf atm, and tago is one of them, so tapine is the logical choice…. but that latrell deathriding i mentioned earlier is hard to do. thankfully tago still putting up good numbers
9 Trades no boost 172k
robson cotter
tapine lolo ipap nuff
kikau gus tago ming hosking nuff
hynes cleary
brown mam
garrick ronnie ramien may to’o tass anderson
Papenhuyzen mitchell
Need to get:
Paps replacement.
Manu
Murray
Teddy
Munster
Dce
Grant
Cook
Yeo
I know i can’t get all but heres who im willing to sell
Robson Cotter Lolo Tago Ming Mam Tass Papenhuyzen and maybe Ramien but if he keeps his form up then no. Need to keep a lead in a family comp
papy -> manu then u can basically go Ming to anyone you want

The magic number for calculating breakevens has dropped sharply this week from 8830 to 8608 off the back of high scoring last round, making breakevens harder to achieve. . To calculate a breakeven use the following formula
Breakeven = ( ( Salary / Magic Number ) x 3 ) – last two scores
e.g. Manu = ( ( 800300 / 8608 ) x 3 ) – 97 – 191 = -9
Nathan Cleary’s breakeven went from 84 to 91 this week, just with the change in magic number.

Grant Woolford

Tapine Olak Gus Dfaf Momo Hosking
Hynes Cleary

Thinking of going Papy to Teddy and Ming to Murray
Then next week do Mam to munster cause im short 60K this week to do it
Any other suggestions? (Only other player is Holmes to bring in)

Gday all
Am thinking the following:
Paps illias and ming out for
Teddy Holmes and a nuff
TU: yes trade
TD: save boost

Owned him twice this year already…. Teddy the Third for the run home haha
Teddy playing Newcastle locks it in for me. Spine players go nuts against them.

Love Your work and wisdom BlueGoose… I take that on board and Your advise with my trades worked a treat 🙂

As a left field YOLO option, how do people feel about papy to Douehi via duals?
TU: go for it
TD: go for Latrell/Holmes instead
Good pod move as long as noddy keeps him at 5/8.
Great point – this could be the worry! Nods is playing funny buggers atm so who knows what will be in what position next week (or the week after).
At this stage Douehi has told Noddy that he wants to play 5/8 in first grade… or to drop him to play 5/8 for the feeder team. The tigers can’t afford to lose their best player so I think he keeps the spot for the rest of the year.

Good luck mate!
I like it a lot, I’ve narrowed the replacements down to Doueihi and Burton
Walker to Douehi and Kennedy to Holmes gotta risk it for the biscuit
Kennedy has a ripper run home. However holmes does also so up to you
Anyone else considering jumping on Drinkwater at fullback for the run home? He has a wicked run home. Other fullback is Latrell
Drinks has been pretty consistent and in an awesome scoring team. If he holds FLB (over Holmes) it’s a good bet.
I’ve got him and he was gonna be my 5/8back up. But with Papy going down I can reassess. I might anti pod Munster…..
5/8 only for mine
Papy and Mam to Teddy and Munster. Has to be the easiest trades of the year.
Adam Elliot just keeps getting it done. Another must-have?
Looking at Tohu instead atm, Murray is also cheaper than him currently.
Which would you prefer? Tohu or Murray? Every bunnies player looks so appealing with Latrell.
Raiders have a 3 forward bench this week. Interesting
Pap to DCE or Holmes?
TU- DCE
TD- Holmes
Do I need to throw all my plans and cash in the bin and get Manu next week? I thought my CTW was set but is he just a must have at this point?
If he keeps playing 5/8 he certainly is… so the Qu is when is Keary coming back?
From what I’ve read, Keary is back next round (R19). Time will tell.
He still is a ball hog lol…. he can play anywhere and 60+ is not a problem imo
Wishing I had more trades, feel like I still need to get the following players into my side;
Cook
Tapine
Tohu
Teddy
Latrell
Barring no injuries I’m 2 weeks off from having my ideal squad. How’s everybody else looking for the run home?
Tapine should be your first priority. I lost my h2h but it wasn’t because of Tapine. The man is a workhorse.
With Papi’s loss I need a fullback. Tempted to move Garrick down and bring in Manu. That would mean breaking my no Rooster rule (I don’t have players from the Roosters as I can’t enjoy the games if I’m watching scores).
i want tapine too, but who do i pass on out of latrell and teddy!? such a tough spot

I’m sure you’ve got it all in hand, friend. With 8 trades left I have to make a trade out of necessity rather than luxury.
i most likely dont , i feel like im chasing all year. just dont think i can sit through another game deathriding latrell and teddy. bloody tough! papy out forces my hand, but figure i can cut mam at the same time to double up at fullback (and move hynes to half)
I’m not sure about the Mam (not MANN like I screwed up with yesterday) trade. He scored 55 over the weekend and has a low breakeven.
i cant see him going too high this week v eels, so he might only break his BE by 20 or so. depends who we wanna get in i guess, but with latrells BE its probably now or never for him
As I said, I’m not going to dissuade you from your course of action. Mam is the least of my issues at the moment.
na all good, mam is going for me this week regardless, its just to who out of latrell / tapine. ive only got 3 playable in 2rf atm, and tago is one of them, so tapine is the logical choice…. but that latrell deathriding i mentioned earlier is hard to do. thankfully tago still putting up good numbers
I feel your pain regarding 2nd row blues. I’ve had to run MacDonald from the Storm several times this year.
ouch! seems to be the position that gets the least love while we are fixing problems elsewhere
If Yeo plays I’m okay. Not great, just okay. My disappointment with the one hit wonder Talakai knows no bounds. I’m tempted to give him the boot.
might struggle to get his starting spot back now, who knows. i traded him last week, hasnt hit 80 since that night v harper
He would help pay for a Munster/Teddy trade week. Would lead to lean picking with both trades and injuries though.

Jahrome hughes to Garrick ?
why are you trading hughes
I can then move Hynes up from fullback to partner Cleary and next week I can move Garrick up to ctw and get teddy in, we’ll that’s what I’m thinking
ok well if you are getting teddy then yeah ig so

Teddy Holmes and a nuff
TU: yes trade
TD: save boost
other fb?
You are boosting to nuff out Ilias? Seems pretty odd, I’d rather hold in case of an absolute emergency. You don’t want a nuff in your halves
Who goes for Grant?
TU: McInness
TD: Robson
mcinnes easy
Can you trade a 2rf and move McInnes down?
Which one for the rest of the season?
TU: Tedesco
TD: Manu
Both but if I had to pick one probably Manu based on last few weeks
Well turns out I have an easy double trade: papy+mam > latrell+douehi
TU: Pull trigger
TD: something else.
I love douehi as a pod but tigers have a super tough draw. DCE?
cant swing DCE with duals im afraid (have cleary hynes at half) its either a gun 5/8 or i just nuff out mam
Giving serious consideration to nuffing both hooker spots, spending the money on Latrel, Teddy and Hines and going for a VC loop each week.
Sitting 1,700 or so.
TU do it you crazy SoB
TD you’re an idiot
TD but with less aggressive wording 🙂
It would be a wild ride!
who are your possible ae’s?
Be good for one week, until you get injuries or restings
