This weeks magic number is 8126, down from 8182 last week.

The magic number started the year at 9294.

To calculate a breakeven, use the following formula:

Breakeven = ( ( Players current salary / magic number ) x 3 ) – last two scores

eg Ponga = ( ( 630300 / 8126 ) x 3 ) – 70 – 172 = -9

Based on the way Mark Nicholls and Tom Burgess strolled through on Friday night, would have to throw up Big Papalii against the Broncos as an option this week..

Cheers, Not too concerned about matchups, want the highest overall scorer, however a few easy games to get rolling wouldn’t hurt

P.S. Never thought RCG would be the most expensive frf at this point in the competition

Sorry for repost but better chance here.]

Most stuck I have ever been. Any priority trade thoughts really valued.

Trade both, one of AFB, Munster? Upgrade Katoa, Best

70K in bank.

Cook Jazz*
Haas AFB Rudolf* (Nuff)
Lolo Bateman Carrigan Katoa* (Davey nuff)
Cleary (Walters)
Munster Johnson*
Nofo Yeo Lomax Mansour (best, Lemelu, nuff)
Teddy (HTF)

I would sell AFB and Katoa/HTF/Best/Walters.
Your CTW are fine. Ponga has to be tempting though. Is your CTW nuff a dual 2rf?

Can you put Carrigan up and make AFB to Ponga work via duals? What does that do cash wise?

Nuff HTF/Best/Katoa/Walters if needed.

Other choices are Angus (if named) or McInnes. I would be tempted to hold Munster with your halves.

Thanks for the help mate.

Could do AFB – Ponga via Carrigan (to FRF), Yeo (to 2nd row) and HTF (to CTW).

Would have to play HTF though? Ponga is tempting

Thought 1:You could Sell Katoa to Kikau (67,77,67 last 3 games) directly. SAME price. Panthers have a great run home.

Thought 2: AFB can be turned into any frf except RCG OR if you are confident in Carrigan bouncing back to most 2nd rowers via Carrigan up to FRF (Im looking at Tohu this week)

Thought 3: Munster to Cust (Walker out till round 17-19) /Brimson/Keary/Walker gives extra 150K > you can use the $$$ to buy anyone

Hammer – Crocker
Grant- jazz

Can’t go near Croker myself,

Curtis Scott is very tempting though. Sitting on an edge outside Bateman and Williams. Should feed Cotric a couple tries.

<300k, solid base and a low BE. I might bring him in for Hammer.

Hard to back in any Cowboys CTW with the form they’re in.

People said the same to me last week about Kelly.

He might not be a top 5 ctw but at 400k and with Morgan back I think he’s their most obvious point of attack (as evidenced by his amount of tries).

I wouldn’t back them to win games but if they’re on the scoreboard there’s a good chance it’ll be him.

If you look at Feldt’s early season scores he was consistently hitting 60 too. If he can keep up his running metres and get back to that form with the goalkicking he’s a great pick.

The difference between Kelly and Feldt, in the context of the form of their respective teams, is that Feldt needs the Cowboys to score tries to supplement his GK stats as his B+P isn’t on par with Kelly’s. And since the Cowboys haven’t scored more than 12 points in the last month, it’s hard to really have any confidence in trading him in. Not to mention, the law of averages has come into play with his tries over his last six games too: Last six games – 45-point average (only two tries); Cowboys avg 10 points over this period. Thinking of either upgrading Walters or aubu to a gun. Already have SJ and Cleary so can get any half I want . In regards to CTW I have 590k to spend already have nofu and yeo and can’t get lomax

Cook, Walters
Haas, Carrigan,
Lolo, Mcinnes. Bateman, Luciano
Cleary, Williams
Johnson. Munster
Yeo, Nofo, Lomax. Talau, hammer
Teddy, Ponga

Who are my priority trade outs? Was thinking hammer & Walters > Tevaga and Nuff. Or should I be trading Munster? Carrigan?

If you want ponga you need him now before he goes ballistic. If you planned on keeping gutho I wouldn’t be too worried, the wet weather ruined him for backline moves, the whole game was spent grubbering into the in goal for repeat sets. I’d expect him to get back to business next week.

Gutho: 142 BE, no GK duties, and less attacking opportunities with Moses back.
Ponga: -9 BE, GK duties, and more attacking opportunities with Mann out of the halves.

Lock it in and throw away the key.

Trade. Makes sense at this stage. Price and BE wise
Gutho may not score as well with Moses back, although the weather played a huge part. Depends if you need the POD too.
I assume he will score ok this week but doubt he will hit his BE (Gutho that is of course). Ponga could raise the bat again
