So stuck on who to trade out
Holmes-Tohu
To’o – isaako
Mahoney-jmk

Saves me from trading one of latrell, turbo, Cleary and hynes
I was set on trading Trell but I don’t know anymore

Ill have 14 players this week

I traded Trell this week. Have had him since the beginning of the year. BE 118. (I know he can achieve this in a game but over origin not so sure.) Went with the ups and downs, was very painful at times. He does not appear to be getting as involved, especially the last game. Will see how he goes and may bring him back after origin.

CBB

That’s what I was thinking . Surely he gets rested too

Karma Keg

I think the Trell resting will come down to how involved he is during Origin. He’s playing Centre and in the past can go nearly a full game barely touching the ball. If the majority of attack goes down his side then I can see him getting rested.

The other point with restings is how close the comp is this year. Not sure any team will be able to afford to rest their best players. There are only 2 points between 1st and 8th.

Kazza

May, may not. But if he plays like he did last week I would rather another FB in my team. Will probably live to regret those words, lol. But need to go with what I am thinking now.

trentmark

I love the bunnies upcoming games he will play though. I couldn’t find anyone to trade him to, he would be too scary not to own

Kazza

Yes I can see both sides. I have, at this stage, traded him to Isaako. I can move him to CTW and bring Latrell back. It is only 1 trade then rather than 2.

Cheerio

Thoughts on Ponga as a Captain this week?

DCE2011

I think DBrown (if you own him) is a better choice. That said, I’m tipping the Knights at home to beat a depleted Sea Eagles.

Second Year Syndrome

Post TLT thoughts

Grant > JMK
Hosking > Isaako
Phins Katoa > Fainu

Leaves 19 trades, 194k ITB

JMK – Luke
JDB, Tapine – Edwards, Fainu
Hopgood. Tohu, Ford – Fifita, Preston, Schuster
Hynes – Cleary
Brown – Manu
Isaako. Garrick, Marzhew, AJ – Bird, Smith, Howarth
Gutho – Bula

TT

Robson/Luke
Harris/Horsburgh/Edwards/Smith
Ford/Schuster/Fifita/Hosking/Preston/Howarth
Cleary/Hynes
Brown/Katoa
Holmes/Garrick/Marzhew/Johnston/Manu/Smith/Turuva
Gutho/Walsh

Thoughts on the following trades
Hynes > Walker
Holmes > Isaako
Walsh > Hopgood

One boost left where I could go Hosking to Tapine

Never walk alone

Beware – next week when you need to field 17 you will have Hopgood, Gutho, Garrick, Marzhew, Brown and Schuster on the bye. Plus any resting from SOO.

IMALOOZER

H2h player, and thinking ahead to round 14
Which to trade to J Issako.
TU: Marzhew
TD: Gutho

If I did do Gutho, it leaves me money in the bank to upgrade Preston to Hopgood in round 15.

nrl

Hi everyone I know it’s been posted everywhere but still getting my head around the scoring for the byes

If I have no halves but reserves in second row will these be used for starting 13 score or will I get 1 ae from this?

Never walk alone

Just play the round as a normal one and pick your squad of 17. The only difference is that the top13 players from your 17 count towards your score.

nrl

I katoa to ponga worth the trade?
Tu yes
Td no

Contemplating trading out Walsh for him at the moment…risky business tho. I think him being at FB is a big bonus. For I Katoa I also think yes.

LateRingIn

I’m bringing in Ponga but there is huge risk. Not just his HIA risk, but Walsh could have a stinker in origin and Ponga would be straight back in there. In actual footy though Ponga looks gold. He’ll get goal kicking back too with Miller gone.

The Pretender

Hastings may kick

yearofthebogan

You are weighing up the potential of Katoa being dragged after 50 min and scoring 5-50 vs Ponga knocking himself out after 5 min and scoring between 0-100 and having the bye next week.

Kazza

IKat was replaced by Milford? last game. As Milford is playing, is there anyone else to replace him. If not IKat will play 80.

yearofthebogan

Mal Jnr is on the bench. Could easily see Nikorama to halfback, Isaako or Tesi to fullback Lee to a wing, Mal Jnr into the centres.

Kazza

Thank you for that.
I can never work out what the bench players may do.
That is a lot of changes though.

jezcarr

Who to bring in

TU J bird
TD T Harris

Sniper

With Tapine, ave 61 and owned by 30%, named at Lock is he better value than AFB, ave 71 and owned by 11%?
Tapine is 160k cheaper, both miss RD16, Tapine misses RD 20.
I am a bit torn on this trade, the extra cash wound be a bonus but AFB is scoring tries for fun this year and is a bit of a POD. Thoughts.

The Pretender

I think Tapine at this point is the value. I am not sure AFB is 100% sustainable, though he does look awesome. Barnett and Tevaga to return too.

LOTE

Big difference. AFB in form. Tapine is not

pulprawk

Getting Tohu this week but unsure who to trade

Tu- matterson
Td- cotter

Sniper

Tough one, Matterson out for 3-6 weeks, Cotter misses 13,15 & 16 and may not back up for 14.
I want Matterson for the run home as he has more up side so I would trade Cotter.

Rabs85

Cotter on the off chance that Matto returns early

LOTE

Matto easy. Especially since it’ll hurt your round 14 numbers

pulprawk

Yeah I’m thinking matto as it gives me enough cash to upgrade Gosiewski to nikora next week

LOTE

Sounds good

TU Penisini or
TD Simonsson?

Someone Else

Do we think fainu will eventually nuff out?
Wondering if it’s worth taking Pele out for him, to stop a future ae nightmare.
Tu yes, he’ll nuff out
Td No, could be just as bad as Pele, a
wasted trade

Last edited 10 months ago by Someone Else
yearofthebogan

Im hopefully Pele is off to soccer. With Luke Thompson coming back I think Pele is a fair chance of nuffing himself out. I wouldnt be wasting a trade for 20 pts and a potential same problem down the road.

Someone Else

Good point, thanx mate

Kane

TU – Ogden
TD – Fainu

Luckyluciano

Tu – horsburgh
Td – Jack bird

Bit concerned horsburgh at 2nd row may not go very well

Last edited 10 months ago by Luckyluciano
TSH

TU just because of unknown on Jack Bird’s knee.

Rabs85

H2H focussed

Originally planned on not trading but i feel Tohu is good value this week and can move Hosking for him.

I can also do Holmes+IKatoa to Hopgood+Oloapu. Undecided on that one but with Matto out, Hopgood is a must imo

Reed Baloney

For anyone here doing Fantasy as well, it says only 13 on field count this week (plus usual substitutes if needed). Does that mean that bench players 14-17 are not used this week whatsoever or an emergency comes from there? Not sure if should place someone in Emergencies 18-21 instead? Thanks

Amans94

In a 50/50 of going Val -> Isaako or Hopgood.
My 2RF is probably in better need of an upgrade, however Hopgood leaves me with 17 next week (assuming Fifita and Cleary back up).
Isaako plays 7 of the next 8, could he be the play instead given he also covers RD14? Atm look decently setup for RD16 so no Isaako won’t be a major concern.

The Pretender

I think Isaako is the go – also has a higher ceiling.

Amans94

Funnily enough Hopgood’s highest score this season is higher than Isaako’s! But yeah think playing next 7 out of the 8 is really big for Isaako, could just keep ticking along, and better cover for me next week.

Bomboss

Struggling to decide on trading or not, mainly H2H focused. I’ve focused on building cash and need to start putting more wins together to make sure I make the 8;.Any opinions would be appreciated. $643k ITB and 23 trades left. Current team: Mahoney, Luke Haas, Taps, Edwards, Moale Fifita, Preston, Hosking, Horsbrough, Hopgood, Ford Hynes, Cleary Brown, Katoa Garrick, Marzhew, Ronnie, Smith, Turuva, Jennings, Croker Teddy, Bula I’m thinking: Jennings > AJ, Hosking > Tohu Haas > Schuster I think Haas will get rested over the origin period and drop a bit of value, he’s an easy trade back in… Read more »

The Pretender

Hold Haas. 23 trades is not a heap in H2H.

Jennings > AJ
Hosking > Dual Nuff
Katoa > CWalker

if you then want to boost for Tohu, go for it.

LOTE

You already have a lot of cash in the bank. Do you think AJ is a keeper?

Bomboss

Not particularly a keeper, more to take advantage of souths good run of games to get some wins. It is a risk given not knowing how their attack will look with latrell out. I was going to wait a week and see.
It’s hard to find another option in the CTW for the origin period

LOTE

Farnworth. Can go more expensive but guessing you don’t have the cash

Matty Sing

Maybe a stupid question but if you have 14 playing do you still get that 1 sun? Or is it strictly only 13 players for every team. No matter how many you have playing?

Matty Sing

Sub* not sun

Bomboss

They automatically pick your 13 best scoring players regardless of the number of players you have playing

1 3 4 5 6 7 11
