The Pretender

Any reason DCE over Turbo? Otherwise, side looks really nice.

Wallah Hezbula

Maybe its the price but have liked DCE’s involvement and lowest score being 60. Probably will go with Turbo but just an option

ForansLateMail

Fellas I’m burning trades like no tomorrow.. 19 left lol. Don’t really care about bye planning, just want a team full of guns who can all go 100+. Liking the looks of To’o in a couple of weeks.. any more thoughts who to add here? Couldn’t have traded out Arrow any quicker if I tried this morning. Souths are just such a boring team to watch.

Grant Cook*
iPapa MKing Moale Nuf
Ola Crichton Cotter JKing* Tago* Macdonald
Hynes Schneider
Munster Illias
May Tupou Lomax Tass Koula BTurbo Schiller
TTurbo Teddy*

ch00nz

cleary is the obvious one
murray, haas too

ForansLateMail

Yep eventually will do Tago to Haas. No path to finding the cash for Nath at this stage.. unless BTurbo or Koula absolutely catch fire over the next month.

Beaten Favourite

What’s peoples thoughts on Liam Martin? Trade out or not

TU Yes
TD No

trentmark

I think he is a trade out. Is he even a play at the moment? Plus misses with Origin

DeanPayGreatMan

Papy, Ilias OUT. Turbo and Teddy IN
Thoughts?

Remaining: $46k, 25 trades, 2 boosts

Grant/Randall
Arrow/Ming/Haas/Thompson
Talakai/Olak/Yeo/Jones/Tuilagi/MacDonald
Cleary/Taafe
Munster/TMM
Aitken/Tago/May/Tass/Cobbo/Tuipulotu/Koula
Paps/Hynes

Looking to move Arrow on. Might look at moving Paps depending how long he is out for. Am an H2H player so don’t really care about byes. Any advice or suggestions welcome

mikeroxoz

H2H is still on during the byes and a win (or two) can be crucial to end standings.

Maybe have a look at who you are playing Round 13 in H2H before totally disregarding bye planning.

Arrow and Paps probably good trade outs

LateRingIn

$415K ITB.
Trade 1: Randall to Grant.
Trade 2: Papenhuyzen to either Turbo or Isaiah Papali’i.

TU: RPap to Turbo
TD: RPap to IPap via duals

My 2RF is weak. Running Talakai, Crichton, Aitken, Tago, Luki, Tuilagi. So leaning towards Ipap.

I’m actually considering trading out Teddy this week (to Meaney), he has an absolutely insane run coming up.

samdiatmh

I’m guessing that’s due to Meaney taking over the kicking duties?

and the Storm’s next 7 games are all against teams currently in the 8 (Panthers, Cowboys, Sea Eagles x2, Roosters, Sharks and Broncos) so how is it an insane run – I mean… it is, but probably not in a good way

Teddy with a single-digit BE is also an interesting one, I’d bank on most people bringing him in this week, but you do you

Trade-a-holic

The only insanity I am seeing is trading Teddy to Meaney!!!

samdiatmh

honestly not sure what to do this week

thinking: Papen -> Drinkwater, Johnston->Garrick and Tago->Ofa, but not really a fan of any of them

Bozzin8r

The last 2 trades there are very sideways imo

samdiatmh

yeah, Johnston scoring 14 has got the rage-trade finger happy, and Garrick at least looks relatively consistent

Tago has a last-5 average of 43, and honestly think that money could be better invested, with my 2nd row (where he currently is) looking like my weakest line – although technically I could plonk Cotter (reserve HKR) and Papalii there (currently Prop) and fix that concern

Bozzin8r

Johnston is always going to be that low floor, high ceiling kind of player, and he pretty well caught a cold against the broncos. You just know the moment you sell him he will get a hattrick and go 100+.

I can see an argument for selling Tago but I think he’s near a CTW keeper for the whole year, still scoring ok despite minimal attacking stats (which will come)

DCE2011

Don’t mind Garrick, but think the horse has bolted with Drinkwater ($668K, Hammer on the bench and Storm / Panthers coming up in rounds 11 and 12).

PS – edited post, as I was thinking Ola not Ofa (run away from Ofa).

Anyone have any interest in Robson? 80mins for the last few weeks and a good Rd 13 number

Brendo_38

Yeah was eyeing him and Adam Elliott off

Boris the Blade

Yes Robson is very interesting. Could then move Cotter into 2RF for round 13.

Bluegoose

1398 moved me up to 562nd so that is a win 🙂

Wanted to hold trades this week. I just don’t think I can have 900K sit on the bench for 4 weeks though. It is a conundrum given trades & other players draws & origin for some of them too. He will be a must as soon as he returns. Nice to know any scan results if Papy has some done.

Have Teddy, Hynes & Cleary. I don’t have Tommy, Garrick or Manu yet

DeanPayGreatMan

Why on earth would you jump off Talakai just to buy into Matto and Lolo

samdiatmh

Chasing BEs in order to not-lose cash?

Talakai with 163 likely loses HEAVY cash this week (50k if he tons up, and 70k if he performs “well” and scores a 65), whereas Tauma (BE74) and Matterson (BE33) are less likely to lose cash

not that I think Tauma will get to 74 this week either, but ehhh

DeanPayGreatMan

If Talakai isn’t in your squad you shouldn’t bring him in, but now isn’t the time to jump off.

trentmark

He won’t lose as much cash as Cleary, and I don’t see anyone trading him out…
Losing cash is only an issue if you plan on selling, he will be my starting CTW for the rest of the year, a play every week

bulldogs808

I too can not wait to punt AFB however held this long, i think we need to hold until round 13.

DeanPayGreatMan

agreed, plenty of cash ITB so no need to jump off for that reason but all of my cash cows have very low BEs taffee, vailea, tass, suallii, amone, tuipulotu, TMM, Burbo, Randall. Might be the week i flick ilias

bulldogs808

Anyone considering Ponga as a POD? I know he has been slow but looking at his draw it is appealing

DeanPayGreatMan

The fullback for the team that is favourite for the wooden spoon is not an appealing prospect.

bulldogs808

Will throw it out there that he averages 80 over the next 3 weeks, significant improvement as to what he has shown, but hey, lets follow the pack

DCE2011

Too inconsistent (along with Newcastle) for my liking. Only had the one decent score so far (122 in R6).

Bozzin8r

I am, mainly because I’m not interested in Teddy/Turbo with their upcoming draws + origin. He’s definitely not without risk given how bad newcastle are so he could defs continue to average 40.

Last edited 1 year ago by Bozzin8r
Trade-a-holic

Ponga will also play Origin.

Brendo_38

I’m sure it’s been raised before but will Adam Elliott get dual status in Round 12?

Bozzin8r

Should if he continues playing there until then

Jarvo13

Save the boost and keep Talakai. He only plays 1 top 8 side between now and round 17. He will lose some cash in the short term but wasting a trade going to Matto who is playing off the bench and not even a must have.

zenguru8

yeah, I reckon even Matto’s mum wouldn’t trade him into her team.

Boris the Blade

I only bought Talakai to make quick cash. It was always iffy that he would be a keeper. So for me it makes sense to sell now rather than lose big chunks of that cash when he doesn’t play Rd 13.

Jarvo13

I bought him at 434k for the same reason, but after seeing his ceiling and the fact that he will likely get DPP in a few weeks I see longer term value

trentmark

He is only averaging 80 as a starting CTW, not sure who will be a keeper in the CTW in front of him.
Give him a forgive against Brisbane, that was his 3rd game in 11 days. And last start with 12 men. He is a weapon, with a great draw coming up

DCE2011

What are Schneider owners doing?

TU: Hold (handy R13 number)
TD: Sell (cash in – plays Sharks, Souths, Parra and Roosters next 4 rounds)

Bozzin8r

Reluctant TU

Temple Guard

Keep him…. don’t play him in your 17 and don’t worry about the dollars he more than likely will loose

uncledami

That is exactly why he is a sell… Cant play him. losing $

Salty Former Owner

I’m selling, either this week or next. He’s not doing much, and the 30 he might get in round 13 isn’t worth waiting for.

ConantheBarbarian

Hi guys, first time posting, but had a couple of shitty years at SC : ) Can I have some advice please? Current team: Cook/Grant IPap/JT/Haas/Fotuaika Talakai/JKing/Arrow/KTuilagi/Piakura/Momoisea Cleary/Schneider Munster/Ilias Tago/Fermor/Aitken/Tass/Suaalii/Koula/Tuipulotu Hynes/Paps I’m thinking that Talakai goes (move Aitken up) and buy Garrick; but for FB the options are endless… Paps goes either way due to injury and problems with byes and SOO, but Drinkwater/Tedesco/Turbo has me thinking. I’ll have about $300k-$500k leftover after trades this week (depending on whether Turbo gets bought). Do I buy Drinkwater and hopefully make a bit of cash while Turbo drops a bit? I don’t… Read more »

Jarvo13

I’d go Drinkwater or Teddy and use the extra cash to upgrade 2rf. Maybe Arrow or Tuilagi to Ola.

ConantheBarbarian

Thanks Jarvo.

Can always move Drinkwater to 5/8 once Schneider and Ilias go.

Do you think Drinkwater is a keeper?

Jarvo13

I’m a Drinkwater owner – he is my second 5/8 and I expect to sell him by round 17 unless he can up his current average.

Boris the Blade

Similar problem this week. Thinking Papy to Garrick and Tacklehi to Kikau.

CheekyJacko

Trades TU: Jones too Villy Kikau
TD: Jones too Ben Trbojevic do we see him as a must have cheapie? Keen to hear thoughts

Last edited 1 year ago by CheekyJacko
Jarvo13

Depends if you need cash or points. If 2rf is looking weak go Kikau, if you already have 4 good 2rfs and could do with the cash then go Burbo pending TLT

Mr Perfect

As a Kikau owner i cannot in good conscience allow you to buy him given the mental stress he has put me under has almost caused me several aneurysms. Guy is the epitome of either white hot like the top of his head or dark as night like the side of his head.

CoG

Lawton back rnd 13 , so Croker may play half , Lawton Hkr /2rf could play either spot but if 2rf probs Schuster to 5/8 Kieran to half?
Hard to see a spot anywhere for Burbo ? Saab back rnd12/13
Burbo could have a charmed run and survive but unlikely.
If he starts this week (Schuster timeframe elastic) he could be a reasonable earner .
Too many if’s if you dont own him but for current owners its a nothing to lose situation

trentmark

As a former Burbo owner, it is pretty scary seeing him sitting on the bench for 77 mins a week, just to come on and have 3 runs and be a cruel AE.
He is only an option if he is a starter

sgi steelers

Schneider to Hynes
Papi to Teddy
Just not sure about Teddy with a few tough match ups & origin coming up..

1996 Honda Civic

I’m quite interested in picking up Garrick this week. In isolation, who would you guys be more inclined to trade out for him? I believe the logical call is probably Penisini due to the other two playing round 13, but my gut says Tago!

TU: Tago
TD: Penisini
Comment: Fermor

Mr Perfect

Tago and Fermor are holds purely for R13 at this stage. FWIW I sold penisini last week, no bye cover, peaked in price and not a top 5 CTW by years end, perfectly ripe for the cull.
