no obvious choice. turbo has Broncos eels storm. teddy has eels, Panthers, sharks. even Drinkwater has tigers, storm Panthers. all could throw up bad scores. calker an option? better draw at least.
Hynes if you don’t have him. He is in good form and increasing in price , Turbo yet to crack a ton and losing coin. Both would be musts in run home post origin.
I’m probably more inclined to look at moving Hynes down and getting a half back maybe if I don’t get Turbo. Otherwise it’s Turbo over Teddy for me but I don’t think either are “obvious” buys this week.
If he’s out for a long enough to need replacing who will play FB for the storm? Who will kick goals? (Meaney?). Pending who it is and how they’re currently priced is it worthwhile considering them in the short term?
If you look at the best players for the positions they are playing… Why wouldn’t you pick them… bad time in 3 weeks once origins will take them out of your team though…. don’t worry I got them and I will feel the pain too haha
Grant got 88 in 58 minutes last year against Penrith in round 20 (with a try). Playing more minutes this year. Low BE after yesterday’s masterclass. In the better team. Both play origin so its an upgrade for sure
I haven’t had Papz or Turbo all year… with origin coming up I am more leaning towards somebody that will play during that period but who is the question
Drinkwater would have to be high on the list. Then Crichton who will pick up goal kicking when Cleary is out. I don’t think Crichton will be picked, or is ready, for Origin this year
King Gutho doesn’t play rd 13 but is probably the most consistent FB during origin period. Gutho seems to score well this time of year and the other player is Edwards who only misses rd17.
I wouldn’t assume that the raiders can’t limit his involvement . Most people thought he would do a lot more in his last 2 games.

Hearing Papy is out 4-8 weeks with a hammy tear.
Bad to lose one gun fullback but Papy’s injury likely opens the door for Hynes for SoO, so basically lost both GUN fullbacks
I don’t think he will….. Wighton was 14 for the first two games last year and Api for game 3. Api is playing really good football at the moment and has the combination with Cleary and Luai. Wighton is probably still regarded as the incumbent though.
was hoping it would be short term, where did you hear that ?

Keen to here thoughts on a few players
Turbo – Won’t play 13/17 Storm 12/16 Cows 15 so hard draw and chance for a resting at some stage
Mulitalo – That wing looks like pure gold, counting the 80+ score from the left winger (scored a double) thats 5 of the last 6 games going 80+
TPJ vs Lolo – If you could only get one which do you prefer and why
Turbo its tough to like his draw and the origin period. Maybe he is a ‘wait for rd 18’? In saying that, its Turbo, he looked fit and busy on the weekend just didnt jag the extra attacking stats as DCE looks more involved than ever. Mulitalo – looks good but coming off a 25 and a DNP, not ideal. I do like him, doesnt play rd 13 though and may not have Hynes in rd 17 if he is picked as the utility in origin which seems likely. I like both. No reason you cant run both in your… Read more »
Yeah my reasoning for Mulitalo is he still plays a bye round, a is to expensive for most to reach. If he went 90, 90 40 think thats very possible only loses like 40k. If he did go 120+ again won’t lose any. Have Coates to sell now but come 14 the sell would likely be someone like Tago, lot of cash to get up to a 700k option
Plays Raiders, Titans, Roosters, NZ, Titans, Dogs, Storm (without Munster/Grant/Coates at least)
Pretty incredible run but you are relying on tries
Manu has a tough few games coming up, could easily score a couple 20s. With the respective games round 12/14 I am leaning towards avoiding him completely
I jumped on him when he was like 400k figure he’ll probably be around the 600k price range for majority of the year. Tass/Tuipulotu/Koula need culling at some point. Trade him back in at a cheaper price.
Seems like an absolute waste of a trade. Sure he is at max price, but he could go on a run again with the Sharks draw. If you watched the Titans defence on the weekend, you won’t want to watch him play against that. I would rather trade an Origin player first, his worst game is a 50, that is an insane base for CTW
He scored under 40 2 weeks ago Trent , and with Graham and Wilton in team he isn’t going to see much ball so cash in on him

Have dropped 1st > 5th > 29th the past 3 weeks on the back of some pretty average luck and having Haas, Dfif, Ola and Mulitalo out last week.
Still very content with my side just need a little bit of luck to jump back to the pointy end again. Seen a few regulars in here starting to jump up the ranks a bit which is nice. I am looking forward to a fuller team this week.
To Turbo or not to Turbo might be the question of the week…
Yep, saw you up top their for a little bit well done, super unlucky with Ola/Mulitalo as they are both pods and out through illness or something minor.
Turbo is most defenetly the important player of the round up top, most will get him and vc him so if he goes huge and you don’t own will hurt. On the other hand this week and 14 are his only really good match ups and getting 2 keepers instead of him has to be an option
I feel you TP, it’s the captain choices that are killing me. If I could nail it consistently each week, I reckon I’d have cracked the top 1k by now. Still climbing every week currently sitting around 3500
Haha I said to a mate yesterday I was tossing up between C Paps or Hynes, whichever one I pick you can bet your house the other will have a blinder. Sure enough, I captained Paps.
Still in it. Just remember it’s a marathon not a sprint. Overall will be won in the last 6 rounds. You’ll need trades, depth and a fair bit of luck. Just need to put yourself close enough to strike
Yep, in some ways not been 1st at the moment is a good thing, will 100% be trading harder trying to stay their. Just have to try and find a happy medium between trades, bye players and boosts.
For example the last round has the potential to be as important as a bye round if we get mass restings
9 atm is fine, aiming for something like this personally I have 9 before trades want Lolo/TPJ for 13 as well as 1 of Cotter/Robson but will wait despite Cotter BE as don’t want a SOO player. So thats around 12
Grant / Randall Lolo Haas / King Thompson IPap Talakai Murray / Aitken Tuilagi MacDonald Cleary / Hynes Munster / Martin Staggs May Tago Tass / Suaalii Koula Schiller Papy / Taaffe $183K ITB Teddy, drink and turbo are the seemingly obvious trades for papy, but they all are facing 2 of eels, storm, panthers in coming weeks. Leaning towards TU purely because of my low rank and the ability to potentially catch points with high ceiling

Been brutal the last couple of weeks. Finished on 1329 so clawed 200 spots back up to 1200 overall. Injuries forced me to make some trades instead of trades to strengthen my team last week. Papy looks to be gone for a little while and was automatically going to trade for Turbo but then remembered Drinkwater. Wanted to get him in last week as a trade up from Ilias but prioritised Haas/Fifita trades. He’s been on fire over the past month.
Let’s go first in ! Sooooo …. Who we trading for Pappy ?
Either hold or Teddy is the obs choice
Not obvious I don’t think. If we trade, we can get Turbo, so it isn’t as easy as it looks. Is Teddy back? Is Turbo back?
I need to know how long Pappy is out for before making a final call. Interested in the consensus here. I’ll probably vote Teddy, but I’m not sure.
no obvious choice. turbo has Broncos eels storm. teddy has eels, Panthers, sharks. even Drinkwater has tigers, storm Panthers. all could throw up bad scores. calker an option? better draw at least.
Don’t forgot Gutho…. he can go well or crap as he has proven
Tom or Hynes
Hynes if you don’t have him. He is in good form and increasing in price , Turbo yet to crack a ton and losing coin. Both would be musts in run home post origin.
I’m probably more inclined to look at moving Hynes down and getting a half back maybe if I don’t get Turbo. Otherwise it’s Turbo over Teddy for me but I don’t think either are “obvious” buys this week.
and who’s the HB if you already have Cleary? Reynolds? DCE? Hughes?
If he’s out for a long enough to need replacing who will play FB for the storm? Who will kick goals? (Meaney?). Pending who it is and how they’re currently priced is it worthwhile considering them in the short term?
Meaney is definitely worth considering, seems who ever plays FB at Storm becomes a superstar.
I’m considering Joey Manu either this week or next which allows me the $$$ to get to IPap
I’d prefer a few comments rather than thumbs for my question, which is this: I can turn Cook and Brown into Grant and Muster, but they play Penrith.
Go for it, or wait a week?
If you look at the best players for the positions they are playing… Why wouldn’t you pick them… bad time in 3 weeks once origins will take them out of your team though…. don’t worry I got them and I will feel the pain too haha
Both will score more in the long run. As long as you can cover the Storm pair for rd 14 if they rest after Origin it makes sense
Grant got 88 in 58 minutes last year against Penrith in round 20 (with a try). Playing more minutes this year. Low BE after yesterday’s masterclass. In the better team. Both play origin so its an upgrade for sure
I am thinking just pull the trigger, the points we are missing out on should easily be made prior to the byes, given their current run rates
I would hold Brown for now , Grant is just getting dearer every week so I see him as a priority SFO .
I haven’t had Papz or Turbo all year… with origin coming up I am more leaning towards somebody that will play during that period but who is the question
Yes who is the question
You are on the money with the HF’s… FB’s are looking skinny Hughes looks good but not playing 13 which I can life with
2 that come to mind is Cheese and Cotter.
Yes like it alot well spotted Bunny
Cheese minutes to inconsistent for me .
Drinkwater would have to be high on the list. Then Crichton who will pick up goal kicking when Cleary is out. I don’t think Crichton will be picked, or is ready, for Origin this year
drink seems risky atm. only 64 mins on weekend, and has storm and panthers in 11 & 12
King Gutho doesn’t play rd 13 but is probably the most consistent FB during origin period. Gutho seems to score well this time of year and the other player is Edwards who only misses rd17.
First trade locked in, the former magician known as Talakai. He can either pay for Turbo or be a bank of at least 500k for later.
you will want him back when he’s a CTW
I think you are right choonz but he will be a lot cheaper
Canberra and Titans next 2 weeks… gets his DPP in a couple of weeks. I wouldn’t recommend watching the Sharks games if you sell
Maybe it is easier for me to say as I got him for 350k though
I wouldn’t assume that the raiders can’t limit his involvement . Most people thought he would do a lot more in his last 2 games.
Hearing Papy is out 4-8 weeks with a hammy tear.
Bad to lose one gun fullback but Papy’s injury likely opens the door for Hynes for SoO, so basically lost both GUN fullbacks
Thats true but we should get 1 of Hynes/Pap for 17 either way
Loving the glass half full outlook
Dammmm I don’t have the trades
Hynes I think was always getting the 14 jersey.
I don’t think he will….. Wighton was 14 for the first two games last year and Api for game 3. Api is playing really good football at the moment and has the combination with Cleary and Luai. Wighton is probably still regarded as the incumbent though.
I’d start Hynes and Cleary and maybe Api/wighton in 14
damn,

Lockout over
Up to 62nd!
cracking effort
This week’s breakeven has continued its recent trend in rising marginally and is now 9249, up from 9208 last week.
To calculate a breakeven, use the following formula.
Breakeven = ( ( Players current salary / Magic Number ) x 3 ) – last two scores
eg Siosifa Talakai = ( ( 766200 / 9249 ) x 3 ) – 36 – 50 = 163
TU Papy to Manu (Rd 13 coverage, playing FB, potential for Teddy to be rested) and then will have the $$$ to go Arrow to IPap
TD Papy to Turbo/Teddy
Manu has a tough few games coming up, could easily score a couple 20s. With the respective games round 12/14 I am leaning towards avoiding him completely
Thanks MT. I might just roll with Hynes at FB for now and use the Papy cash to bring in IPap.
Talaki BE is 163 hope the big guy doesn’t make me eat humble pie trading him out this week lol.
Sharks have the best draw of any team – Do you really need the cash if selling Pap?
I jumped on him when he was like 400k figure he’ll probably be around the 600k price range for majority of the year. Tass/Tuipulotu/Koula need culling at some point. Trade him back in at a cheaper price.
Fair enough, personally it’s Points > Cash, not willing to sell a keeper who also plays a bye round.
The guy can score that in a half
Seems like an absolute waste of a trade. Sure he is at max price, but he could go on a run again with the Sharks draw. For example the last round has the potential to be as important as a bye round if we get mass restings
Still well within striking distance mate, I went Tom T last week as a POD, expected higher but like you say, looked busy.
I dare say his % rises this week though
The best thing TP is you have been measured & a bit mindful of not forcing trades. With a better squad it should be a bounce back week for you…
$578k needed for Taaffe to Turbo
No idea what your bank is though. So here’s my thinking
Coates > Burbo (if selected in 2RF) / Tuipolotu (gets you 407k / 218.6k ) gives you some additional cash generation
Tuilagi > Burbo (if selected in 2RF = 148.4k) Tuilagi not in your 17 anyway and really slow burner!
If you want to wait for Turbo you could look at Coates to Garrick for only 60.5k and plays 13 and keep for the rest of the year.
You don’t want to be leading the whole way and get beat at the post TP. We’ll done on your ranking.
Grant/Cotter
Haas/Arrow/Lolo/M.King
Talakai/Ola/Tago/Aitken/Tuilagi/Harris (Panthers Nuff)
Cleary/Taaffe
Walker/Munster
May/Tuipulotu/Suaalii/Tass/Fermor/Koula/Vailea
Hynes/Papy
$3K ITB 27 trades left.
TU Papy to IPap
TD Papy to Turbo
Ideally how many players would you want in round 13?? I’ve got 9 atm
9 atm is fine, aiming for something like this personally I have 9 before trades want Lolo/TPJ for 13 as well as 1 of Cotter/Robson but will wait despite Cotter BE as don’t want a SOO player. So thats around 12
Won’t TPJ play origin?
Strongly doubt it. Murray, Friz, Angus, LMartin all ahead
Ah right! Thought he was a QLDr for some reason
The more you have rd13 the less you have rd17. If you have saved trades along the way you can maximise your rd 17 team.

Considering holding trades even with Paps out, not real keen on Turbo/Drinky/Teddy with draws + origin.
Only trade I’m considering is Paps –> Ipap via AJ to FB, Tago to CTW.
Thoughts?
I’m doing this same move except moving Koula to FB so it’s a thumbs up from me

has storm and panthers in 11 and 12 is my only concern, that and he didnt even play full 80 on weekend
The short term draw concerns are fair but he didn’t play the 80 because of the HIA as a precaution so I wouldn’t worry too much about that…
ah cheers, didnt know about the HIA.
sitting in 260th at the moment so hoping to keep up the momentum with this week’s trades. Arrow and Paps the obvious outs, but who comes in?

H2H only.
TU Trade out Staggs

Thanks in advance, good luck this week all
I think Tago mate.
