Anyone leaving Jazz out? I’m thinking that he might have a quieter game after that record-breaking effort last week.

He got through a ton of work last week, I’d think reduced minutes this week as well 55-60 but he is a ppm weapon so assume a safe score of 60?

I can not bring myself to leave him out, the guy is a absolute beast and looks involved as much as possible. For mine I have locked him in since the moment I owned him as he is a ppm gun.

hi all, bit late but only just seen the highlights of the broncos dogs game and does milf keep the try assist? was pretty much catch and pass did absolutely zero in contributing to the try.

It’s funny isn’t it – he did less than Staggs did in the try where TPJ got the try assist (fairly I think) but was clearly the only playing assisting the Staggs try. Just shows the challenges with how these decisions get made.

The tricky decisions are on the more creative tries, particularly when offloads are involved. The Staggs try is as simple as it gets and been scored the same way all year (and previous years) which makes it easy. Player sweeps around the back providing the extra number (usually the fullback) and picks out either the centre or winger who goes on to score (or centre draws and passes the winger. As long as the player that scores is the one breaking the line, then the sweeping player gets the assist. For the most part the scorers are actually fairly consistent… Read more »

My big issue is still who gets the LBA. The LBA should always go to the last pass imo.

Would stop such violent swings in scoring.

Did anyone see the article of benji being a mention as a immortal? Due to what he did for the game, changed it and got young kids keen.

This is where id love to see a legends list. He’s a legend in his right. He’s a part of what got me into nrl in my early twenties. Always will love benji.
I lived in Vic at the time and it was purely afl.

Who was the player/players that got you guys into the sport?

With all due respect to Benji, in no universe should what he’s done in his career warrant selection as an immortal. It’s almost offensive to the current crop of immortals that somebody has mentioned Benji in the same breath. Benji had maybe 2 possibly 3 good consistent seasons of footy in him. Somehow scraped together a golden boot despite him not even being the best player at his club that year. He still lives off the hype he created when he originally stormed onto the scene. Handy player during certain periods in his career, but it’s appalling that somebody out… Read more »

The whole idea behind immortals and who they are is still a little bit rubbery… but I thought they were supposed to be the best player in their generation? Benji isn’t at that level.

there is already a hall of fame, the game just does a really poor job of promoting it. The Immortals were a marketing schtick dreamed up by a magazine and that then became the default recognition. It it now officially recognised by the league as the pinnacle

you can’t, afaik, become an immortal without first being inducted into the hall of fame
