AJW

Thanks very much Stilesy – tempted to captain Cleary this week (my only NPR is Burbo 🙁 )

BT

I’m with you AJ

AJW

Hey BT – yeah just trying to use logic for once – am a Sea Eagles supporter, but was thinking that in the period until they get Turbo and a few of the missing troops back, then they’re fairly vulnerable (towelled up by the Dragons ffs!), so even tho I’m hoping for some resistance & a couple of Manly tries, am fully aware what this Panthers team is capable of – led by the SC points magnet himself, Nathan (didn’t get the job just cos I’m the coaches’ son) Cleary! 🙂 Well, that’s the theory at least 🙂 !

joely7

Who we prefer right now.
Cody walker
munster
Fifita

interested to know what people think

The Pretender

As a buy – CWalker.

StormWarning

I started the year with Walker and Fifi. Probably my best moves in what has been an awful start( sitting 29K). If I didn’t own any I’d be keenest on DFifif. I think Walker and Latrell will share going large. Walker one week, Latrell the other. Fifif will go large every week and has a very high floor. The funster is a beast and probably the second best player in the comp after Teddy but his game doesn’t always translate into SC scores( can go huge of course). 1.Fifi 2.Walker 3. Funster. All awesome. By the end of the year… Read more »

sleepinggiants

Not bragging or anything but I’ve got all 3 – I think the one with the most potential to go massive is Walker.

He runs that Souths backline and his combo with Latrell is dynamite and will only get better

KBB

Now or never on Fifita with a low BE, the other two have potential to score anything this weekend but have BE around 75…I went the tackle busting machine Fifita, but I am a Titans fan also.

Roosterblah

Who would you play as last R out of Schuster, Riki or Swalker? (Feeling slighty tempted by walker)

KBB

Schuster or Swalker. Swalker riskier but could be kicking goals?

Roosterblah

Yeh ive gone Riki currently, but will have a think about walker. Think the roosters might go better than some are expecting.

KBB

With Burton in centres does Cleary get an early rest if they are up by plenty? Catch 22 because he would likely be contributing to any comfortable lead.

hoof hearted

Don’t know if anyone’s mentioned this yet but …

Both my current nprs are involved in tonight’s game so theoretically I can’t loop .

But I’m putting the VC on Cleary & if he somehow knocks out a 200 I’ll nuff out Fuimaono & loop .

Otherwise I’ll make my trades as planned & put the C on Cody .

evilmacca

Woah – ugly Panthers Jersey!

evilmacca

scratch that – my bad – it was their warm up brown striped shirt!!

kegs kings

good start by vc

hoof hearted

Great start . Well done

Byron0379

What’s the consensus on who gets the TS for the first try? IMO Cleary should get it since he drew in the extra defender and created the 2 on 1.

Timbo

Luai all day long, and I have both!

Byron0379

I must say I’m definitely biased since I have the C on Cleary haha

ConstantlyTipsy

Who owns Crichton?
What a dreadful first half. Honestly didnt even see him in the field of view when panthers had the ball.

hoof hearted

Junk points stains .
What a punish waiting 78 minutes for him to do something .

The Beer Whisperer

35 includes junk points??

Dmac

Got a TA LBA in the last two minutes after switching to fullback for last five. Looked a lot better in attack there, wouldn’t be surprised to see him shifted back there, Crichton looks knackered and couldn’t add anything in terms of sweeping plays late in sets

chukka

6/588 C Cleary. Glad Cleary came home strong cos I really wanted to chuck the C on Luai or Kikau but talked myself out of it!

The Beer Whisperer

Cleary or Luai for VC?

Logic dictates Cleary so I go Luai.
Of course Laluai goes massive.

chukka

I am still not sure Luai has gone large enough to make the loophole an obvious play anyway. Saab stunk it up, and Broncs playing Storm (leading to some uncertainty about many cheapies) means I think the tipping point for looping this week is probably closer to 150

CoG

If rikki scores 54 (dropped player) Luai updates to 132 and an ae of Saab
Then Teddy needs to score 85 to match points

Timbo

Interested to know if you are looping. I did the same with Luai, but with so much trash in NPR’s that could all score sub 30, just not convinced the loop is a goer???

Bluegoose

3/246 C Cleary

The good:
– solid enough captain score (especially given his 1st half). A late try to Capes- pheww! Nice dividend from
Schuster.. Selling 6-pack Saab (to Olam) 2mins before lockout feels like a win.

The bad:
– Staines struggled again (shame he didn’t get the FB job over Critter). A worry that plenty out could be riding Pappy as C to a 100+ V’s Broncs.

The ugly:
– fell 9K short of planned trade to get To’o. Rikki or Tino were only options in the end so had to pass. It was a painful deathride tonight!!!

Anyone concerned that Hynes has moved onto the bench for Storm? I have C on Papy and concerned he goes off early.

CoG

Smoothy dropped out so Hynes in as he has more impact and versatility
I dont see him as a threat to Papi………………………..yet

sleepinggiants

Ok so Capewell scored 47 with a try?

So he would’ve scored 30points in 64 minutes of footy without the try against a terrible Manly team.

Could soon be on the chopping block…

mower_man

Most of the attack went down the left

Stokesy12

That’s what some genius said a day before he scored 95. He’ll update in the 50s which leaves him with 68,36,95,47+ to average in the 60s…. he’ll bounce around a bit but attacking stats will always be there for him in that side. He’s a sure thing in a chaotic CTW line

bruiser

Creighton out of his depth at FLB was lost and added nothing in attack. Looked like he had know idea of when inject himself into the play. Only runs kick returns and a couple of hit-ups Staines looks clearly the better option at FLB or Burton at FLB. Unfortunately I have both Staines & Creighton not enough cash for Too’
Panthers are smashing sides solely on the basis of left side attack..

OnTheBus

i think pennies get back a couple of wingers this week. Could see staines go to fullback, momo to wing if they end up with naden or just play jennings on the wing.

if kenny is out maybe may to hooker, critter back to left centre and burton the no.14, they have plenty of back up and options to do as they please

Salty Former Owner

Agree. It’s going to be a difficult few days until next TLT for owners of most of the Penrith backline. Critter was awful at FB, but surely has enough credit points to stay in the team, while Staines either plays FB or gets dropped. Burton fitted like a glove, so he stays in, somewhere.

Stokesy12

There is no reason to change that side coming off that scoreline. Critter got better as the game went on and will be better for the run. If anything they might swap Staines into fullback a bit earlier as he showed he could carve up tired edge defenders.

Keyser Soze

Cleary mentioned about organising the defensive line and how underrated edwards is in that regard.

Perhaps Crichton is preferred at FB as he is better than Staines in that area, and there attack is humming

Stokesy12

“know idea” hahahaha, touche

Hospital Passes

Luai definitely looks like a keeper this year. Glad I took him round 1. Gives that origin cover and looks to have so much confidence.

Could be the year walker/luai are the top choices over Munster/walker for the first time in a while

tanous

no chance of a cleary/luai blues halves combo?
