I come bearing good news – the rain that has been present in Sydney during yesterday and today, should almost completely ease in time for the matches in Sydney on Saturday night, following a most likely wet game in Newcastle at 3pm.
Note: Times listed in tables are local. Dragons vs Tigers is being played at the SCG.
Friday 6pm: While it may still be fine at the start of the match in Auckland, some rain areas are expected to move across later in the match.

|Auckland 8-10pm||75%||14-16C||N/A rain|
Friday 8pm: A slight chance (10%) of a shower will persist into this evening in Brisbane, after one or two isolated showers around the area this afternoon. Otherwise it will be fine, with a moderate to high amount of dew on the playing surface.

Saturday 3pm: Showers are expected to continue into the early to mid afternoon in Newcastle tomorrow, even though they will ease to some degree further south around Sydney. It is possible that the shower activity will show an easing and clearing trend as the match goes on, however this will not be before some likely rainfall from earlier showers at around kickoff.

Saturday 5:30pm: While there will be a chance of a shower further south in Sydney during the early evening, this will be greatly reduced (at just 25%). Assuming it doesn’t rain at all, expect a moderate to high amount of dew on the playing surface.

Saturday 7:30pm: Fine weather is most likely for the Saturday night match at the SCG, with quite a low chance of a shower. There is also a moderate to high amount of dew expected on the playing surface.
