Have 100k ITB that I should probably spend in the CTWs. Current CTWs are:
Capewell, Staines, Niu, Laurie, Fus, Saab, Simo
Any idea who to snag in that mid-range spot?
Nothing wrong with those ctw. Leave the cash in the bank for upgrades once the cash cows are fat

Am I the only one starting with Cook!?
With ownership currently being at 30% I would have to say that many other players will also be starting with Cook.
30% are lol. But yeah lots of teams being posted look similar here.
Yeah, definitely a bit of an echo chamber with teams here (mine included..). But I think there’s a bunch of players that are dual positions holders and have good earning potential. I’ll probably upgrade to Cook come the pointy end of the season.

Could downgrade CHT and use the funds to get a gun HKR or 5/8 as going cheap at both positions could be a risky move.
I don’t mind that idea, who would you down grade to that isn’t an NPR though? That’s my only worry
Swalker is the popular choice, noboby else at basement price is as appealing tbh.

Solid team. Keep Capewell at CTW as he’s a presumed 45 to 55 ppg which is valuable consistency in CTW. Downgrade Welch to Lodge and use cash itb plus Welch money to upgrade Walker at half, to Foggerty in order to solidify your halves.

Perhaps a bit soft in 2RF but I like the balance of the team, not a fan of Hoy’s prospects though personally without kicking and with Ponga returning soon.
Ha, I thought he was kicking.
Definitely play Staines over Fusi. Much higher ceiling and much better team. Much prefer Laurie to Dalker as he plays FB increasing his involvement and he impressed in trials. Otherwise solid team.

First time posting my team. If anyone has any Suggestions/Advice/Banter for it, I would love to hear it. 😀
Very strong team just worried about going cheap in both HKR and 5/8, feel as though at least one gun would be a good idea to have as those two positions produce big points most weeks.
What Jettio said! That hooker line and 5/8 line is too risky
Is Fogarty definitely kicking for GC?
From all accounts he’ll have the kicking boot to start the season.
Not convinced with Corey Thompson in the side

With 54k left over for any running repairs.
Just too many nuffs for my liking. Will lose out on cash generation and your CTWs are a bit lopsided with Nofo and Mansauce. Would prefer to downgrade one of them and upgrade your FRFs to have a keeper in that position. Lomax is interesting although I feel he will struggle with the Dragons and no Cleary is a risky move early on.
The Cleary move was money related…couldn’t get Crichton and Tapine. If needed. From what I saw of the Dragons, they may well turn a corner. They adopted a flat style of attack in the trials that impressed me.
Lomax is a goal kicker which puts him in the “pick me even if I’m average otherwise” category.
Can swap out Mansour (he’s with the Rabbitohs now so that’s a turn off) for Walker.
Have also discovered that trading out Mansour to Isaako gives me enough money to pick up Cam Murray and Klemmer for the FRF so win/win.

Like those changes in the forwards mate, although Murray’s role may be lessened with Benji touted to play a roaming lock role off the bench and Isaako I’ve had in and out of my team but I’ve decided against him. Just feel he’ll struggle similar to Lomax in a poor attack.
Isaako out for Staines and Murray out for Brown and Frizell out for David Fifita (the Titans one).
Love those changes, looking solid mate.
And it leaves me 86k in the bank. Thanks for all the advice. I now feel happy, content and can relax and watch the football.
Now worries, use that 86k to maybe grab some cheapies and get rid of the nuffs.

Edit: I got Odgen in for an NPR. Other than that, would have to start culling.

Ive currently got JBrailey at Hooker.
Should I change to Hodgson/ Lam or am I right in thinking that JBrailey, priced at a 40ish point average is about 140-150k underpriced based on his, albeit 2, games last year. Is he not likely to play 80 mins/ do we think the new (old) 6 again rule will not benefit him coming back from injury? ie. fatigue

May not happen but looks possible. Hard to judge now how much that would affect JB’s minutes if at all but its a red flag for me. He’ll still make cash and Newc has a soft draw

I know the plan is that he plays 80 but the lack of match hardness may come into play.
For me i prefer to risk other options and if a first bye friendly option like JB fires its a great swap
I have JBrailey as well and i reckon he will go well this year. While he is coming off an ACL which isn’t the best, the injury was almost a year ago giving him more time to recover. Normally a player is back within 6-9 months. Hopefully he is raring to go with something to prove

like the lucy and barnett picks. barnett averages 70 when playing over 70 minutes. plus goal kicking to start the year.
Ive seen many team with Leniu what are expected mins.

Any interest in Alex Twal?
From rounds 2 to 6 in 2020, he averaged a total of 68.75 points in 75.5 minutes. With the departure of Matt Eisenhuth, surely he can return to those minutes he once played? I did not watch their final trial so I’m unsure as to who would fill in if he does go off. My only guess is that JoeO fills in at 13 If he comes on for a second stint to spell Twal? Unsure… Opinions appreciated!
