Billy Walters was a standout for Tigers at the nines but not sure how much game time he will get with Grub or worse Grant joins them
Mbye also in the mix if grant does not go to the tigers
Burton’s kicking will probably cement Luai’s spot at 5/8.
Was there ever doubt Luai wouldn’t start?
Cameron King looks to have done a knee which now means Brailey and Mags are likely to get more mins.
Was a non-contact injury which I think from memory means likely PCL or ACL.
Feel bad for the bloke
He cant catch a break
Brailey more mins with Mags spelling him at hooker and Rudolf off the bench. Was likely but just got a little firmer.
Molo is looking really impressive. McGuire should just come off the bench when he returns.
should have been in the origin camp
Carrigan busy as well
Two nice touches from milf as well
Hopefully, he gets the start in the no.13; PPM is well over 1 in the first 20.
What side does Hess/wright usually play with the other guy other edge?
Milf another ta!
Jo looks a plodder
Yep welcome to the team Milf (again).
Cooper plays left
not good for hess
I’ll be looking at Bird if he’s named at FB for round 1. He’s looked very good from a SC perspective.
Says your SC side. No chance Flock.
Molo and Carrigan as my starting FRF 😎
Hass?
Who? 😎
Justin o niell wold have more tbs 😀
Finally convinced by Carrigan. Good to see
Him and Knight two of my 3 frf!
Pangai likely fills frf then right edge, dfaf left edge. Flegler/Jo/Kennedy off the bench. Carrigan big min at lock, big motor and yeo yeo saying he has been really fit this pre
He was always going to be an option if he ended up starting (his ownership will skyrocket if he gets the no.13). If he’s named on the bench for R1, he’s a no-go.
He won’t be on the bench. He’s our captain next year. Gun and he has a brain.
TPJ for captain.
Nope, Nope, Nope!
And Boyd back to FB in 2021. 💡
Nah we’ll sign turbo
Arthurs may take his center spot, atm it looks coates is in line for right wing (left is oates and farnsworth playing there), Boyd left center (Arthurs there tonight) Staggs has right locked.
Carrigan 13, Pangai frf then edge (Right) with Dfaf likley left outside milf.
Isaako will probably be on the right wing if Bird gets the no.1.
doubt it after whatr seibs said sees him primarily as a flb
Come midseason: Isaako will move to FB, and Bird to centre, once the Boyd experiment fails. He won’t be left out of the starting 13 altogether.
Yeah I hope Isakoo comes out firing right now! Bird 14 and then rd3 boyd drops out for Bird
Flock, get off the beers mate
Can see him being developed into a radley/murray mold under seibs. Decent workload in that first 30min he was on. Jo doesn’t even compare.
Ramien looks ok so far.
6 tackle busts in 1 run
Not going to get points for offloads
This comment didn’t age well
Kerr lovely offload for Curran try looking really good
Kerr assist, Curran try. Hopefully a good SC sign.
but where do you fit Kerr against Carrigan (if starts), Musgrove, molo, mikale
I only got to see a bit of the second half. Please tell me The .Tigers took their best players off at half time. No Defence visible in the .2nd.
I missed the first 10 minutes of this game but what a cracking game.
If Kerr can’t make the top 17 for the Dragons I think Mary may be looking for another job next year. Played really well in the 9’s and backing up again with a good performance in this game. Time to rearrange my team again…
Yep. The scene is set for Flanagan to take over.
Kerr was an absolute gun in the all-stars a couple years ago. Scored 2 tries and was best on ground. Didnt get a run all year under mary.
But Watson where does he compare to guys like Knight (starting 13), Carrigan (Starting 13), molo (first off bench), Makaele/Musgrove (starting decent min). I would have all ahead before Kerr as 3rd/4th option off bench behind lawrie/sims, unless he starts and graham is bench?
$$$ probably the deciding factor
Only $233K. A lot cheaper than all those mentioned.
But the others have better growth/start potential?
Sure, but what happens if you can’t afford them?
I am making knight and Carrigan a priority. If that means running rudolf as 4th frf over kerr, so be it.
What about the likes of Kerr vs Magoulias? I think that would be a better comparison.
yes depends who starts. Still don’t trust Mary tbh.
Just Molo looking decent and getting good min, Carrigan the same,
Given these now all look like decent options would you forgo Haas?
No, C option each week and played nearly the first full hlf of the trial, still so damaging. Need some guns to make sure you get the points. Plus all these mids wont pay off.
Already forgoing Cook/Turbo/Teddy can’t not pick lolo/Hass for consistent safe points each week
Hey fellas – you releasing that $20 supercoach guide this year? It’s my only leg up in a tough comp!
Ponga GK is a good sign
As a warriors fan I hope we have CHT at 7 Nikorima 6, won’t happen though.
As a warriors fan i hope we throw the war chest at B Smith
Nikorima is going well in the Allstars game 😉
Ponga and Ramien look set for me so far. Ive seen enough so far of trell to say it will take time but he will be awesome at fullback.
I must be watching a different game than brandy and vossy – not impressed by Nikorima at all (besides the LBA to Ponga)
nikorima sucks
So happy some one took him off our hands!
Another great quarter of footy. DWZ is having a blinder (even though he left Panthers…); Nikorima is playing well; CHN also playing very well (with the #13 on his back).
I think these teams have only had a couple of days together prior to the game. It makes you wonder how improved the game might be as a spectacle if they were allowed to play without coaches. 😉
(Just noticed the posts above. Maybe I’m the only one that thinks Nikorima is going alright).
Nikorima is certainly playing better than CHT did in his trial.
I agree WFF.
I was thinking the same thing 2 ex panthers are really playing well tonight. Fair few offload from CHN aswell.
DWZ appears to grow an extra leg when playing for New Zealand. Reminds me of a bloke called Olsen Filipaina. Played for Balmain and was actually selected for the Kiwis from reserve grade. He went on to kill it in the test match.
Not saying that DWZ has been playing poorly for the Doggies but he’s been exceptional tonight in attack and defence.
Well there you go just jinxed him DWZ injured back won’t be back tonight
Sorry. 🙁
No, I’m with you Watson, I think Nikorima is going pretty good.
Thanks Pool Man.
I was starting to feel a little lonely with my assessment…
I feel like if you got points for effort DWZ would be a gun but you don’t so he will never be.
Good point Rooters. That was one of the problems we had with him at Penrith.
He took the ball up with gusto when playing fullback but too often lost it in the tackle and he didn’t appear to have the ability to ball play. Unfortunately, he did not want to play in the CTW and that led to conflict. Hence his departure.
Musgrove played for over an hour. Was apparently the Tigers best. Next week will tell us more but it looks very promising!
What about Walters and Lucy?
When on Walters was in everything. Lucy I barely noticed though I wasn’t watching that game as close as some of the others.
All stars players looking fit and focused: Ferguson, Wighton, Ponga, Ramien, Kerr, DFifita, Roberts
Broncos vs Cows
Carrigan – Molo both played very decent min and had plenty of touches/tackles
Milf looked the goods, when him and croft where alongside each other.
Robson looked likely at hok
Not looking good for Isakoo and Coates, unfortunately when Isakoo was lfb most the broncos starters where off.
D Fifita looks a must have
He does
always was!
Can’t believe he said payne Haas is faster than him.
Ponga’s been the definition of average; poor attacking kicks and defense, and hasn’t really done much with the ball in hand.
I think he looks good. Funny how people see things different I guess..
I’m more with you on this one Kegs. I do differ on your assessment of Ramien though.
Yeah I think hes playing pretty decent, but after watching the Knights today I don’t think he’ll get as many attacking opportunities as a Teddy or Turbo
On the other side Mitchell has been close to invisible IMO
I thought he looked alright he keeps popping up on the right not his natural left hand side. Defensive I haven’t seen anything wrong at all really. Also I might be a bit one eyed being knights
Apart from the poor kicks, he hasn’t done anything notably wrong, but he hasn’t stamped his mark on the game. He’s had one good run (which was mostly due to the work of Nikorima), and that’s about it.
Fair call the problem with him is he’s not like a Turbo or Teddy and do a heap of runs but can put 40 sc points on in 1 play
Who has put a stamp on the game really. He diffused a couple of bombs. Popping up around the ruck. It’s not like they all know each other. His biggest issue will be ball hog Pearce.
Brandon Smith
“He diffused a couple of bombs. Popping up around the ruck” Those are the things one would bring up if a player has had an average game. And it’s not like he hasn’t had opportunities inside the 20 either: he’s had 2-3 attacking kicks that went absolutely nowhere, his passes really haven’t created opportunities for his outside men, and he hasn’t really threatened the defensive line with the ball in hand. B.Smith and CHN have both stamped their mark on the game; Niko and Hughes have had good moments. The best thing I can say about Ponga is, he’s been… Read more »
In your opinion. Move on.
Mate, you’re the one who contested my opinion, TWICE. Why don’t you move on?
have a cry
I’m with you keg ….
He has no idea ..
Please tell me rockafella, besides catching a few bombs, what has Ponga done in this game?
rockafella I’ll take your silence that he didn’t do anything else in the game.
No you can take my silence as I just don’t give a f$&@ about anything you say !
Flock come on mate let Turbo stay a POD
I think Ponga looks dangerous out there.
Who’s been better in your opinion at FB in this game Flock, Latrell or Ponga?
Where is the neither option? Latrell has been decent, all things considered.
Lol. Sorry mate I should have put that option in.
I was about to post about Ponga to gauge feelings of others.
He’s been safe under the highball but I don’t think you done a lot in attack. I was tossing up between him and Holmes for the fullback and selected Holmes (mainly because I couldn’t afford Ponga). I have since gone to Aekins so it’s probably a moot point but what do others feel about Ponga’s efforts tonight from a SuperCoach perspective?
I agree with jjjohny he was mainly popping up on the right hand side inside the 20m. We all know his strength in to the left
Cowboys !
