Just one game left on the 3rd of January to close out round 21, but what a game it is in the context of the title race this season, with unbeaten leaders Liverpool travelling to the likely main challengers for their top spot.
PlayON wouldn’t miss a fixture this big and they are here with DFS offerings as always. To help make them profitable, I have selected my best picks from a DFS perspective for your consideration.

Man City v Liverpool
Liverpool sent a message to City and the other title rivals by annihilating Arsenal last out. After a couple of shock losses, City responded to that message by beating Southampton to keep the gap at seven points heading into this one.
This one was goalless last time the sides met. From the 42 meetings prior to that, Liverpool lead 19-8 in terms of wins, with 16 draws along the way. Closer in recent times, obviously, since City became one of the big guns.
Hard to pick this one. City have to win to keep the title race alive, but are Liverpool in too good a vein of form? With the Citizens being at home, I’m going to say no and back them to end the Reds’ run here. I can still find space for players on both sides in my PlayON teams however.
I did consider Firmino here after his hat-trick in round 20, but my experience with him has been one good game and then a quieter one or two. So, I am waiting to see if he can put a run of from together and sticking with the tried and tested for my Gun Pick.
A goal and assist in each of his last three, Mohamed Salah (£17.5m) sits joint top of the scoring charts with 13. No sharing the spoils when it comes to his PlayON scores though, with his average of 2080 a good 500 clear of the second highest scoring player in this game. In scintillating form, and one who could light this fixture up if he plays as we know he can.
Seven starts in a row for Bernardo Silva (£10.7m) and an attacking stat in each of his last three, taking him to five goals and five assists for the season. The good form sees him with an average around the 1280 mark, which sits above his price tag and sees him shape as value ahead of this one.
The fact that Danilo (£6.7m) is averaging under 500 will see him overlooked for a good few sides here. But with Mendy injured and Delph suspended, the full back has started the last two. No goals or assists yet, but with guaranteed game time and City’s attacking style, you would imagine it is only a matter of time until they come for the Brazilian. If they come here, they come with the added bonus of likely setting you apart from the others who don’t have him.
That is in for another round and the end of the Christmas rush of games. A week off from the league now for the FA Cup games next weekend. So once you have headed to the lobby and entered your teams for this game, take a well-earned breather and I will see back ahead of round 22!
